Weekend Wrap-Up: The HAPPY BIRTHDAY G-MA Edition!!!!

First off, today is G-ma's birthday!!!!

Happy birthday Gramma!  We love you!

This weekend was filled with outdoor activities (mostly sledding- we went 3 times!).  How amazing it is to think that there was a 60 degree temperature difference between last Sunday and today? So crazy.  It was WONDERFUL to be outside enjoying the fresh air so much.

We started our sledding-filled weekend yesterday morning with Boom and Bops downtown.  Callie had no fear and went down the big hill a bunch of times.

Maya came out for a bit too, but didn't like the cool air so much.
Callie and Bops went fast!

She went down a couple times with Boom as well, and the one time with me but we crashed halfway down the hill.  The grandparents definitely beat me when it came to good sledding.

Our second round of sledding and snow fun came later in the afternoon in G-ma and G-pa's backyard.

They have a more gradual hill so she was able to have more control on her own.  Sort of.

When we weren't outside yesterday, we were just hanging out and playing.  As usual.

This morning we made G-ma's cupcakes.  Callie decided that they needed to be white cake with pink (and purple) frosting and cherries on top.  So that is what we did.

Auntie Yoda and Craig came over in the afternoon and we went out for our third sledding excursion to the park by our house.  We sledded, "ice skated" with boots, played at the park and made a snow princess named Elsa.  It was a super fun time on this beautiful winter day!

Callie was especially excited about the little ice rink.  She was happy to "ice skate" for the first time.  We're going to have to find her skates and go back to try some real ice skating some time.  She clearly has the moves for it.

Tonight we had G-ma's birthday party at our house.  She loved her cupcakes!

Throughout the weekend it became obvious that Miss Maya has become very much a mama's girl.  If someone else was holding her and she caught sight of me, she would start to cry but then stop as soon as I held her.  She's my little Squishy love bug.

Here's hoping that tonight goes better than last night.  This little squishy love bug decided she wanted to giggle and talk most of the night instead of sleep.  I hope that she decides to NOT do that tonight.  I have a busy week coming up and would REALLY appreciate getting some good nights of sleep.  Please, baby...please??!?!?!?  :)
