Happy Halloween! And TGIF! I’ll include the other week’ pics with my weekend wrap-up, since I have a Halloween time machine happening for this post.
This year, I couldn’t get the girls’ costumes picture together since Callie was already at Alex’s place before I got home. But thankfully his mom sent me their photo to include. And then we have Elphaba and Glinda!

Happy Sunday! Another weekend flew by.
on Friday night Chris, Maya and I went out for a hibachi dinner and hand a blast! Maya and I also got some cute pics of Nibbles and Shadow during our gerbil time.
On Saturday we had dinner and playtime at our house with Boom, Auntie Yoda, Uncle Craigles, Lucy, Mila and Alex.
Today Luna got some snuggles and Maya and Chris did some work on the roof.
And Maya saved up money for a new gerbil…so now we have Peanut in our family! He isn’t so sure about the other two yet…or they weren’t sure about him. But we’ll work on it.

Happy Friday! TGIF! We had another busy week. On Tuesday we had no power due to a house project, and the power wasn’t turned back on until 9pm, so we were chilly and it was dark!
Maya and her bff went climbing again on Wednesday.
And Luna was up to her usual shenanigans.

Meatball’s final day. Maya was very sad, but she is doing better and glad she still has Nibbles and Shadow to cause her trouble!

G-ma came over yesterday and worked with Maya on redoing her room! They worked so hard!
This morning was a lovely color as the sun rose, so I got a nice shot of our front tree. And the girls and I went to get our Covid and flu shots, so we treated ourselves to Starbucks.
G-ma came back today and worked on repainting Callie’s room with her and Alex! Another day of hard work and it paid off.
Mitchell hung out with us today and we did a lot of fun things!

I realized I missed Timehop Tuesday yesterday, and unfortunately between last night and this morning we had to deal with a sad thing.
Meatball, the third gerbil we got on 8/19, got super sick and lethargic yesterday evening and didn’t make it through the night. We are all sad, Maya especially so, and will miss his little nibbles and chunkiness.
We made some beaded bracelets and cage memorial beads this afternoon, and will lay him to rest in our yard this weekend.
It’s a hard lesson to learn about life, but worth it because of the joy even something as small as a gerbil can bring to our lives.
Hi all! Jenna and I enjoyed a lovely weekend up north! We hiked and drank coffee and cocktails and relaxed and read and enjoyed peace and quiet.
And meanwhile, Maya and G-ma worked on prepping her room to be repainted and then Chris took the girls and Alex to the Laufey concert at Target Center!
And this afternoon Maya and I joined Boom and Auntie Yoda at a concert at church. Our band director was one of the flutists!
It’s a short week this week! Looking forward to a long weekend.
Hi all! TGIF! Chris was gone all week, and then Maya got sick. And it was a full moon! We did cleaning, got a new robot vacuum, I gathered pens at the college fair, and I drove the girls around every which way after school.
I also went on my first run in weeks…and it wasn’t horrible!
I’m currently at Caribou about to read my book. I took today off awhile ago because I’m heading up north for the weekend with my friend Jenna! But first, a massage…

Happy Sunday! We had 2 big events this weekend. The first one was a cider pressing party at our friend’s house. It was 80+ degrees in October, so that was annoying, but the party was fun and we got a jug of homemade cider!
Today was a lovely sunrise, and then we celebrated the life of Chris’ Aunt Jan, who passed away this past spring. It was a lovely memorial and fun to see cousins we haven’t seen in a long time.
