Weekend Wrap-Up

Whew it has been a weekend! 

Yesterday started with a pretty sunrise. 

And then later it was Homecoming for Cal! She got ready at a friend’s house and we met them at a park (where it seems everyone else went too) for photos. 


She had a fun time! 

Today I went on a 3 mile run (for the first time in a loooooong time) and it was lovely.

Then we took Maya to a gymnastics meet, where she got inspired to do some flipping on her own at home.

Tonight is the first semi-finals Lynx game!!! Go Lynx!!!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Hey all! 

Guess what?? I finally made soup!!!

Our big event of the weekend was the first Lynx playoff game tonight. Chris couldn’t go and we had 4 tickets, so Auntie Hanna came with and sat with Cal in our bonus seats while Maya and I sat in our regular seats. 

They won and there was a crazy halftime performer to boot!

A Picture Update

I can’t underestimate how hot this week has been when the place you work doesn’t have A/C in most of the spaces. I’m so tired of being hot and sweaty. I’m DONE with summer weather. Over it. Do better, Minnesota fall. This little USB fan saved me and also the full moon was a bit disastrous. 

Pretty clouds were a welcome sight.

Chris spent last weekend and the first part of this week fishing in Colorado.

And Maya came with me to my school carnival!

Hey all! Happy Sunday! It’s so hot…I’m ready for fall weather. I WANT TO MAKE SOUP.

But anyway…here are our weekend pics:

On Friday night Chris and Cal went to the Lynx game and Callie got Napheesa Collier to sign her jersey after the game!

On Saturday Laura and I went to a fun wine tasting at a winery in Dellwood. 

Today Chris went fly fishing and we went swimming with G-ma, Auntie Cat, Uncle Dan, Auntie Hanna, Mitchell and Isla! Can’t stop laughing at this photo.

Tonight we celebrated Boom’s birthday at Longfellow Grill!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Our first weekend of the school year was pretty quiet. The only photo I took yesterday was when I was outside reading. Maya and I headed to Boom’s this morning for a flute lesson. And then we had another dinner with Uncle Dan, Auntie Hanna, Mitchell and Isla.

We survived the first week of school with some major exhaustion and gratitude it is now the weekend so we can slow down a bit. And not set our alarms for 2 mornings!

It was the first day of school for three of us today!

And for the Timehops, I had to dig out Chris’ and my 6th and 9th grade photos from the vaults (aka scrapbooks made by our mothers!).

Weekend Wrap-Up

Hey all!  Happy Labor Day!  We had a lovely long weekend.

On Friday night I met my friend Jennifer for dinner and margs and ELVIS was there singing on the patio.  Ha!  On Saturday we went over to Chris' Uncle Richie's house for lunch and yard games with his family.

On Sunday Maya and I went to the Lynx game and she FINALLY got a free t-shirt (and all the players were wearing shirts that said VOTE...loved it) and I made crab cakes for dinner!  

Today was another round of State Fair fun...this time with Boom, Uncle Craigles, Auntie Yoda, Lucy and Mila!  We enjoyed more delicious food and drinks...

...and went on some fun rides!

It was so crazy busy, but we had fun regardless!

Uncle Dan, Auntie Hanna, Mitchell and Isla came over for some playtime and dinner tonight.  

And the new school year starts tomorrow!  Here comes middle and high school!
