Weekend Wrap-Up

Yesterday morning I did my longest training run yet- 7 miles. It was COLD and WINDY. But I did it! And then later Chris and Cal has fun wrestling Luna.

I took Maya out to lunch during Cal’s dance class, and then after dance the girls went over to Caleb and Issac’s house. The boys walked/ran them home after the play date. 

Then we went downtown to hang out with Boom, Auntie Yoda, Uncle Craigles, and Lucy!

The girls had a sleepover at Boom’s house last night! 

Callie has an ear infection and is hanging out with G-ma and Pa and getting the royal treatment! And Maya is being a big helper.

A Picture Update

Happy Friday!!!!! I’m officially on SPRING BREAK! I'll show you a visual representation of how I felt about that last night.

...and SPRING BREAK

This week was a challenging mix of Chris gone for work Monday-Wednesday, a dash of bronchitis (me) and ANOTHER COLD (Maya).  I was very glad to get to Thursday night.

The girls are finishing up their spring break this week. And they had a blast. They got to spend Monday and Wednesday with Boom and Lucy!

Can you even stand how cute those girls are in that top left picture?  I can't.

and taking that cute picture on top!

And on Tuesday and Thursday they did the school district non-school day care and got to go on a couple field trips and play with their friends.

Let's see, what else...I tried taking them on a run (just a short one), and then completed a longer run on my own...both outside which was lovely even when I didn't want to do it.



I was off this morning!  Luna made it very hard to get out of bed because of her cuteness.

I mean...LOOK AT THAT FACE.

We met Boom for lunch, and my children could not be normal for a picture.



Then we took Luna to Logan Park!



And then we went to the library.

Look at that cute missing tooth smile!

Tonight I made them each their favorite meal.  Can we talk about how weird they are for a second?  Callie's favorite is pepperoni pizza (on a tortilla) but with VERY LIGHT SAUCE and NO CHEESE.

And Maya?  Her favorite is tacos- ONLY BLACK BEANS and SPRINKLE CHEESE.  And served COLD.




Someday I hope they will eat like normal people.  Until then, here's Maya as a not-so-normal person. Her bedhead every morning is unreal. And her mouth after eating pretty much anything is also unreal.  She is CRACKING ME UP these days.  A fun and hilarious going-on-6-year-old.

When Chris got home he took the girls to hit golf balls and I'm home listening to music and totally vegging out.  Our plan is to get sushi after bedtime.  YUM!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Happy Sunday y'all!  It feels like SPRING!!!!  And that's good, because the girls are now on spring break.  We had a pretty unique weekend- the girls spent most of it with G-ma and Pa! They were supposed to go with them to a hotel with a waterpark this weekend, but unfortunately the hotel canceled at the last minute.  As you'll see below, they still managed to have a lot of fun around here!

I took Luna for a run on Saturday morning.  Outside!  Without ice all over the ground!  It was awesome.  And then we cuddled.



Laura and Lucy stopped by later in the morning and I passed off some spring/summer 2T clothes (yes, Lucy is ALMOST 2!!!).  Lucy had fun playing and then modeled one of Maya's old pink vests when they got back home.

Meanwhile, the girls ate yummy pancakes made by Pa, and then went to play at a cool outdoor park, complete with a picnic lunch!



Then later they went to a different water park and explored Chaska a little bit.  They also had some rest time back at G-ma and Pa's house.



Luna was ridiculously spoiled this weekend, since I didn't have anyone to give all my attention to (besides my husband, who gave his attention to March Madness ;) ).  And then Jenna and Andy came over for cocktails, we went out to dinner, and came back to our house to play games and watch more basketball.



This morning we picked the girls up before church and then went to lunch.  It was good to be back together as a foursome.



We enjoyed the lovely weather this afternoon! It's not everywhere that you get to enjoy spring and also have snowballs thrown at you.



Chris took the girls to a movie this afternoon while I met friends for appetizers, and now it is Sunday night and I have FOUR MORE DAYS until my spring break.

A Picture Update

Hi everybody!

A few things from this week...on Monday night, MAYA LOST HER FIRST TOOTH! She yanked it right out herself and then was so excited about it.

The on Tuesday, Laura and Chris got free coffe for their birthdays, we went to dinner, and then went to surprise Uncle Dan before work with a birthday donut (See video later!). Then Chris’ buddies took him out to do a golf simulator. I think he had a pretty good birthday.

The girls and Luna were adorable at G-ma’s on Wednesday. 

Yesterday morning Maya yelled, “MOM! I’m reading a book about BOOM!”

  
The girls are having a fun weekend with G-ma and Pa this weekend! 

So tonight Chris and I met Boom, Auntie Yoda, Uncle Craigles, and Lucy for dinner and ice cream. Of course I only got pictures of Lucy!

And we were also home, in jammies, and in bed by 7:40 pm. We are LIVING IT UP.

Weekend Wrap-Up: The St. Patty’s Day Edition!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! We are wearing GREEN for Nana!

I love going back in time on these little holidays. 

And my very favorite...my first St. Patty’s Day as a parent!

As for the rest of the weekend, Dan, Hanna and Shambles came over on Friday night and the doggies tore around our basement and wore each other out.

My mom and I went to an Enneagram training at church yesterday morning. It was in the room right across the hall from the meeting room they named after my dad, so I went in there and took a few pictures.

If you’re not familiar with the Enneagram system that helps you identify your personality type, you should google it. It is fascinating. I am a 9 with a 1 wing, in case you were wondering. :)

And now I’m trying to figure out the types of all the people I know! 

We spent the afternoon at home, and Callie did her science fair experiment.

And Luna got some sunshine.

Last night Auntie Cat had us all over for a “Family Feast” and early birthday party for the boys! The girls had fun wrestling Uncle Dan.

Car served us “Breakfast for Dinner,” then we played games and had a beithday celebration!

And Hanna captured me taking a fun selfie with Maya!

And on the way home the sky was super pretty. 

Yes there was just a random cowgirl hat on the dash. That’s how we roll.

This morning the LEPRACHAUNS had some fun collecting green things and then giving out SUPERHERO CAPES.

And then we had green macaroni and cheese for lunch!

This afternoon we went to the library!

Chris took the girls to hang out with his friend Jeremy and his kids for a bit this afternoon, and then they had dinner!
