Weekend Wrap-Up

Well guys, my weekend started off with a fast 7 mile training run on the treadmill, and is concluding with getting winded walking to the bathroom and back...so here goes.

Yesterday morning we went to visit two of our favorite kiddos! 

And then later got to see the other of our two favorite kiddos!

Around 4pm yesterday I got my 2nd shot.  

I just had some arm soreness last night and woke up a bit achy today but was still able to take Luna out around 7:30 this morning to see this lovely sky.

Then things started going a bit downhill with the aches, but a Tylenol boost got me to about 1pm, where I crashed.  In the meantime, Chris took the girls and Luna on a long adventure day!

My temp has been hovering around 100 degrees for a few hours now. And can you tell which is my post-vaccine day from my steps tracker?!?!

So I have just been laying on my heat pack and trying to get comfortable.  But I'm more than grateful for this period of being uncomfortable!!! One step closer to normalcy, I hope.

Timehop Tuesday

First up today- the Gosselin family picture. A year ago we hadn’t seen each other in person for a week or two (and had no idea what the pandemic year would bring) so we decided to do a socially distanced walk. It was the start of a year of outdoor adventures! Also, a year later there’s a new little peanut in our family! ❤️

Weekend Wrap-Up: Happy Birthday Uncle Josh!

Happy Sunday! Today is Uncle Josh’s birthday. Happy birthday Uncle Josh! I don’t have a good recent pic, so here’s a throwback to Mexico.

As for the rest of the weekend, on Friday evening we celebrated Chris’ birthday with gifts and and a fire (in his new fire pit!) and brownies with friends. 

I ran a 10K on Saturday morning and the sun was pretty. Then Maya gave me a makeover.

That afternoon we had another deck dinner! G-ma, Pa, Auntie Cat, Uncle Dan, Auntie Hanna, Mitchell and Isla all came over for a birthday celebration for the boys!







We took a new family photo with our newest family member! 

And the boys are pushing 40...

This morning was a shorter fun but a prettier sunrise. 

And then Maya wanted to go for a run too, so I walked along with her and she made it about half a mile. 

This afternoon we headed to Boom’s house for a final birthday celebration for Auntie Yoda!

Those cousins are something else!

A Picture Update + HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRIS, AUNTIE YODA AND UNCLE DAN!

Hey all! It’s now officially birthday season! Today is Chris, Auntie Yoda and Uncle Dan’s birthdays! I don’t have very many good current pics of all of them, so I thought I’d throw up a fun throwback! 

We are doing a couple different outdoor/masked birthday celebrations this weekend, so it shouldn’t feel too much like a (second) quarantine birthday. Thank goodness! 

As for the rest of the week, our big highlight was WE (the girls and I) GOT TO MEET ISLA!!! She came home earlier this week and we stopped over there on Wednesday evening, double masked and highly sanitized, so excited to meet her.

We also got to play with the proud new big brother, who had a new trick of his own...walking!

It was so amazing to have the four cousins together. Welcome home Isla!!

Timehop Tuesday

You guys. Looking at pictures from a year ago is a total trip. We were at the very beginning of what turned out to be a year+ pandemic. It is wild. 

I think this about sums it up. 

We started the pandemic with homemade BINGO cards for the girls to complete to earn prizes I bought at Target. A year later, we have Maya writing “Callie is mean” in clothes she probably wore multiple days in a row. 

It is what it is!

Weekend Wrap-Up

And somehow it is Sunday night!  We had a pretty chill weekend.

Yesterday morning I completed my 7 mile run before 8am...and then basically sat a lot of the rest of the day working on my puzzle.  I had some company, though.  Except when my company was lured over to the "cozy corner" by Maya.  

Auntie Cat took each of the girls on a nature walk yesterday after lunch, and we spent time out in our back yard as well.  

And then we headed over to hang out with Mitchell, G-ma and Pa!  It was fun to be able to play outside.  Mitchell liked the chalk Callie brought over, and got a very chalky booty.

This morning Luna and I did a short run, and beat the sunrise.  And I finished my puzzle!

This afternoon we went over to Boom's and walked around down by the Stonearch Bridge.  

It was definitely a little chillier today, with lots of wind! But Auntie Mari and Uncle Josh are getting lots of inches of snow in Denver, so we won't complain too much.  There is snow rumored tomorrow, but hopefully will be just be short and sweet.

Happy Friday!  My brain is absolutely fried after a long day of Zoom meetings.  So...here goes!

Monday: girls had the day off so they went to Boom's!

Tuesday: it felt like spring!  And Maya fell off her bike so she made an iMove about it called "I am hert"
