Busy Weekend

Blog Post by Kati:

Wow! I have barely gotten a chance to be on the computer all weekend! Friday we went to my parents' house and out to dinner. Callie was so difficult at dinner as usual:

Haha. Clearly I'm kidding.

We also watched some Olympics, though I find myself being much more entertained by the baby:

Saturday was busy- chiropractor appointment and lunch (which she also slept through!), Target and Babies R Us with my parents to get them stuff for watching Callie, then to the Gosselins for a bit...and then to the Koch's house for a Valentines party! Callie was a hit! And a very good baby...and it was another excuse to wear her Valentines outfit again:

Today we went to church. She didn't sleep through it this time, but was awake and busy! But not noisy...whew. After lunch at Bruegger's (yet another meal she slept through!) we went to Dan's place to watch the USA/Canada hockey game. Bummer USA. We're just at home for a little bit before heading to Jenna and Andy's house for a bit to hang out with our small group.

I start back at school tomorrow full time. It is going to be back to reality- seriously. :(

Finally, a cute video that I took sometime this weekend (this one from Shutterfly):

Big Girl!

Blog Post by Kati:

Little Punkin Head is growing so big and wanting to start doing "big girl" stuff! Many times when she is alert and awake, she just wants to stand up!

Notice how adorable her onesie is? We have quickly learned that the Target baby section is totally dangerous for the wallet. I mean- how can you NOT get an "I Love Mommy" onesie for $4.00???? (And a few more other cute ones too...?) I'm going to have to start learning some self control ASAP. :)

Soooo sleepy!

I made it through my 3 day training and now have a 3 day weekend! The true test starts next week when I have very full and busy days back at work. And the grandparents get to start daycare next week! I think they are VERY excited. :) And we are VERY excited that they are doing it!

200th Post!

Blog Post by Kati:

Yep, this is the 200th post! Crazy!

So I've had 2 really boring days back at it- I've been at a special ed audit training. Sounds thrilling, right? It was absolutely horrible leaving yesterday morning. Lots of tears. But Chris brought Callie for lunch yesterday and today so that was wonderful. I have one more half day of the training tomorrow and then am off on Friday before going back to actual work on Monday.

Here is a cute picture from yesterday evening:

Callie did really well with her daddy the past two days (of course!). He texted me pictures and updates throughout the day. Now she's napping hard after eating a lot and spitting up on 2 different outfits and a onesie! I finally stopped putting clothes on her for awhile until I was sure she was done spitting up. :) So I got to hold a cute baby in just a diaper for awhile which is always fun.

2 Months Old!!!

Blog Post by Kati:

It is February 22nd which makes Callie officially 2 months old!

Today (and Friday) are my last days at home with her, so I wanted to make today a fun day! We played with the play gym before her morning nap. Then after her nap I decided to break out the Baby Bjorn (a really nice baby carrier) and we took Kona for a walk! It was great to get out of the house.

She liked it! She fell asleep. :)

Then we went and played in her crib and she loved looking at the mobile again. Here she is in her crib wearing the cute new outfit Grandma got her:

After that she fell asleep in her crib and I tried out our baby "surveillance" system! We have a video monitor so I was able to go downstairs and get some dishes done and monitor her at the same time...her first big girl nap!

Happy 2 month birthday Callie!

Busy!

Blog Post by Kati:

We've actually been pretty busy the past few days! Lots going on on Friday (walking at MOA, hanging out with friends in multiple locations), cleaning on Saturday (and more hanging out with friends!), and delicious lunch at the Gosselins today along with more hanging out with friends tonight! It has made for a really fun weekend, though it has gone by way too fast. Tomorrow is my last official day as a stay-at-home mom. :( Tuesday is going to be really hard so I ask for your thoughts and prayers that day! Since I am going to a three-day training, I actually get time for lunch (I think an hour or so!). Therefore I'm having Chris and Callie meet us so I can see her in the middle of the day. That will help ease the transition a little bit...

Here are a couple of photos from this weekend and a cute video:

Crib Time

Blog Post by Kati:

Where is the time going????????????

Anyway...yesterday Callie slept a LOT of the day. She was up late the night before so she was super tired. One of the times that she was asleep I put her in crib for the first time (she still sleeps in a Pack 'n Play in our room at night). When she woke up she saw the mobile going and was a happy little girl!

Toys and Naptimes

Blog Post by Kati:

Callie and I had a lot of fun this morning playing with her play gym. She still hasn't really figured out that there are toys hanging from it, but I think she's getting close...she accidentally hits them with her flailing appendages!

She was in between outfits after doing an EPIC poop through her first outfit of the day! And I just thought she was so cute in her onesie that I had to get some pictures...so into the play gym she went! :) Look at those chubby legs! Here is a video (I know...obsessive with the videos...but I just can't help myself!):

So we had a really good play time which means a really good nap time needs to follow. That is what I was trying to tell her, and at first she was basically saying "Haha funny, MOM...not gonna happen!" but I prevailed as shown by yet ANOTHER video:

Success! The nap time score: Mom=1, Baby=0! I have a feeling that as time goes by, the score will be very different! :)
