Weekend Wrap-Up

Hey everybody. Are we all doing ok? Is everything just pretty much all bonkers? YES.

Sooooo...the next few weeks are going to be spent mostly at home. Chris is working from home. I go in tomorrow and then will be working from home starting Tuesday. The girls are off starting tomorrow, with distance learning starting on Wednesday. 

I’m grateful for a home to be at, flexible jobs that allow working from home, a fully stocked fridge and pantry, and the ability to keep our kids happy, healthy (hopefully), and safe. 

Here’s what I got for the weekend pics:

Saturday: playing, tree climbing, reading, Frozen II on Disney+

Today: family time and seeing Laura and Craig’s house progress

A Picture Update

I don’t even know what to say about this week.  Here are a couple of internet things I found and saved because laughter seems like the best course of action at this point:

Ok I’m done now.  

My school and the girls’ school are making plans for possible distance learning in the near future. Chris is able to work from home. I just ordered some Lego sets from Target in case we all find ourselves stuck at home for a long period of time. 

The unknown is a bit scary and crazy and unsettling. Hopefully in a not so long amount of time we will look back in this whole ordeal and just shake our heads. 

But anyway, I didn’t get too many pictures this week. The girls were off school on Monday and had a fun day with G-ma and Pa.

And they had spring picture day on Wednesday so G-Ma did their hair all nice and fancy.

They played “Blanket Hunters” in our bed with Luna.

And I sanitized all the things in our house.

Tonight we watched some episodes of Master Chef Junior to just relax and escape a bit.

Maya’s mood in the stroller is my mood this week with a full moon, Mercury in Retrograde, the upcoming Friday the 13th, and still 3 weeks out from spring break. HA!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Happy Sunday!  It felt ALMOST like spring for most of the weekend, so we did our best to take advantage of time outside.  Yesterday morning I asked if anyone wanted to go on a run with me...and I got a few volunteers for the first mile.  As you can see...they need to do more training... but I was able to knock out 4 miles for the first time in awhile. And since the first mile was corralling two children and a dog, I'd say my time of 42 minutes 48 seconds was pretty darn good.

Not sure if you can tell, but when I told them to go get running clothes on,
Maya put on skinny jeans and Callie stayed in her pajama pants...
apparently they need some workout gear of their own.

Yesterday afternoon we took the girls and Luna to a park.  As is the case when so much snow starts melting, it was VERY wet and muddy.  But the girls had fun regardless! And also, as the case when it gets so nice out, there were SO MANY DOGS AROUND and LUNA WAS LOSING HER MIND A LITTLE BIT.  But she is still so much better than she was early on.  Chris just had to give her the business a bunch and there was some embarrassing moaning.  But overall...very manageable.



Then later, Luna was patient with Maya and we got some MITCHELL TIME!

He is starting to really smile at people now and it is SO DARN CUTE.

This morning at church I went to the service with my mom.  And then all of a sudden, Callie's Sunday school class joined the service to help lead the Apostle's Creed!  (Also had I known that was going to happen, I would have maybe had her change out of sweatpants and a t-shirt this morning... LOL).  Then later the girls and Chris played outside.

Chris and Cal went to the T-Wolves game this afternoon...




...so Maya and I went with Auntie Yoda, Lucy, Mila, and Boom to get ice cream.  It was WINDY!



And then later I got some Mila snuggles and her faces are just THE BEST.

A Picture Update

Happy Friday! I did not do a great job of taking pictures this week. 

Monday: Maya managed to get another bad cold and cough so she stayed with G-ma and Pa on Monday.

Tuesday: We voted!

Friday: The girls were off school and I had the day off so we met Auntie Yoda, Uncle Craigles and the girls at the zoo and then lunch with Boom.

And then played and went out to dinner with friends!

Today Maya and I made French Toast for brunch.

And then G-ma and Pa took the girls for an afternoon at the Science Museum and then out to dinner! 

I got in an outdoor run. It was still pretty icy on some sidewalks, but I soaked in some vitamin D regardless.
