A Picture Update

And somehow it is Friday again.

I started up work from home and Chris continued working from home and the girls continued distance learning from home. We survived but are all still a little bonkers.

So here we go:

Monday- sweater on the top/sweatpants on the bottom for my first live online classes, and time outside

Tuesday- scootering, basketball, quarantine faces, Chris making dinner, and Zoom dance class

Wednesday- running/biking/scootering, new pansies from the gardening fairy (G-ma!)

Thursday- snowy pansies, more quarantine faces

Friday- more scootering, more quarantine faces, and TACO NIGHT!

I’ll leave you with Maya’s texting abilities. We downloaded a kids messenger app so the girls could connect with a couple friends. Today Maya also realized I’m connected to it and that she could text me.

So these messages all came when I was in an 8:15am Zoom meeting...

It is Easter weekend and it feels very weird. We are still going to try to do some normal Easter things. But we are going to really miss family this weekend (even more than we already do).

Happy Birthday Lucy Allyn + Weekend Wrap-Up

First of all...this girl is THREE!!!!!!

We were so sad to not be able to see her on her special day, but we got to watch her open a present during a virtual birthday party!

We love you Lucy-Lou!

As for the rest of the weekend... yesterday:

Luna and I went for a sunrise run in balmy 21 degree MN weather, we went for a VERY EXCITING car ride, and
spent some time outside.

We also made banana bread!

We FaceTimed with Auntie Hanna and Mitchell but he wasn't amused
by our goofy faces.
Today:

Maya and Luna enjoyed the sunshine and Auntie Hanna, Mitchell and Shambles
stopped by our yard during a walk.

We went to Gold Medal Park for a social distancing picnic with Boom.  They played some soccer too.

And we also FaceTimed with G-ma, Pa, Auntie Cat, Auntie Hanna and Mitchell
(Uncle Dan was busy working this weekend).  Something must
have been pretty funny!
Distance Learning + Distance Teaching starts tomorrow.  Gulp.  I'm sure it will be fine.  But it feels like a lot.  But we're all in this together, right?

Stay safe, stay healthy, stay home and try not to go bonkers.  That's our goal for the week!

A Picture Update

You guys, my brain is fried.  For multiple reasons.  But first off:

1) I had written out a whole long draft of this blog post and then between uploading pictures on my phone and doing the typing on my laptop I lost all the writing and I'm losing my mind.  So.

2) I had started this post earlier this week (I usually add the pictures first) and thought I had it scheduled to post at 7pm last night.  Apparently I had it scheduled to post at 7pm on MAY 3rd.  OMG.

Distance learning started this week.  I was on spring break this week.  I'm totally overwhelmed about doing distance learning with them next week and also doing distance teaching next week.  That's the gist.

Here is a sampling of our quarantine activities. I had quippy descriptions but lost them and now I'll just let you use your imaginations.

MONDAY

TUESDAY

WEDNESDAY

THURSDAY

FRIDAY

Spring Pictures!

A puzzle was accomplished!

I’ll leave you with me in my winter PJs (because it freaking snowed today) and a dog who is always invading my personal bubble.

Have a great weekend!

Timehop Tuesday

Very grateful for the sun yesterday and today.

I’m always a bit surprised looking back at pictures from 5-6 years ago because Maya’s hair was so light!

Have a great Tuesday!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Hi all!  Not much to report. Rules are getting lax, comfort food was made, it was cold and rainy outside, Boom played her flute for virtual church, and family FaceTimes occurred.

As I scroll through the Internet, I'm thoroughly enjoying all the new memes that are popping up.  I found these online and they all seem pretty accurate for how I feel at this point.

What actually is a weekend anymore?

I. Love. Musicals.

Any Schitt's Creek fans out there?  Im currently rewatching the series for the THIRD TIME.

I spent $66 on comfy pants that arrived this week and make me happy.

I’m on “spring break” this week while the girls “go back to school” online.  It should be interesting!

I’ll leave you with some video of our various quarantine activities. Click here to enjoy!

A Picture Update

Happy Friday!  It was the girls' "spring break" this week, and we continued to do our part to stay home (except to get outside on walks!).  Chris and I both still worked from home this week and we continued to adjust to all being home all the time while trying to get stuff done.  It is a struggle that many people are going through...

So here's Monday.  We woke up to snow, got puzzles from Boom in the mail, and then there was a pretty sunset.

On Tuesday there were puzzles and MouseTrap, also from Boom!

On Wednesday it was a bit of a mid-week meltdown and then rain.  But there was also some virtual playdates and lots of jumping jacks.

On Thursday Maya played virtual Mastermind with Pa, and I put together a little desk (with some help) for this distance teaching thing.

Today was beautiful! It felt so good to get outside.

This afternoon Cal and I met Pa and G-ma at 9 Mile Creek for some more sunshine.

Have a great weekend (that will likely be very similar to your week)!
