Hey all! It's Labor Day weekend, which is crazy because I swear Memorial Day weekend was like two weeks ago. But here we are. It feels like the end of an era and I'm trying not to freak out. School starts for me tomorrow, for Callie on Wednesday, and for Maya on Thursday.
Last year at this time we had decided on distance learning for the girls, and now a year later with the prospect of going back full time and not much progress on the Covid front, I'm freaking out. But we are just doing what we can to control what we can, and I just have to let go of a lot of the control I had this past year and a half in our bubble.
On Saturday I got my 8 mile long run done by 8:02am!

Later that morning we went with Boom to the Farmer's Market and it was a beautiful morning! And the girls argued over the smoothie I bought for them to share. Later they ate the chocolate treats Boom bought them. SPOILED.

That afternoon the Helds came over for a deck dinner and play time! Our two big kids (friends since their newborn days) are going into middle school and we can't quite believe it!

Sunday morning was absolutely beautiful for an early morning walk. Then Maya had fun playing with (and photographing) Luna.

Mitchell and Isla hung out at our house with G-ma and Pa on Sunday so that Uncle Dan and Auntie Hanna could move into their new house! We got to go see it later in the day and it is awesome and includes a cool basketball court in the backyard.

Today was just spent around the house and getting stuff done. Auntie Yoda, Uncle Craigles, Lucy and Mila came over this afternoon for a deck dinner (and some cartwheels!).

Have a great week! I'll report back all about the first days of school on Thursday.
