Weekend Wrap-Up: Happy Mother’s Day!

Happy Mother’s Day! We are so grateful to have all the wonderful women in our life!!

Here’s a look at our weekend.

Yesterday morning I enjoyed the sunrise on my run, and then we had some fun with Luna and then killed time during dance picture day at my favorite store! Hahaha.

The girls had fun getting dressed up in their dance costumes...the recital is in about ) weeks! 

Last night we watched the first half of Hamilton (again) and Cal and I sang along. Maya just asked a bunch of questions about war and history that I tried to answer but probably botched big time. 


This morning I got a homemade breakfast bagel and decided to wear my “I NEED A HUG...e margarita” shirt. It seemed appropriate for Mother’s Day.

We met Auntie Cat at the park for some fun in the sun.

And then went to have lunch with G-ma and Pa.

This afternoon we went over to Boom’s house and had fun playing and grilling for dinner.

It was a really lovely day. Now on to another busy week!

A Picture Update

Hey all!  Happy Friday! TGIF.  FIVE WEEKS from now we will be on summer vacation.  FIVE WEEKS.  We can make it.  Here's a glimpse of our week...it is very Maya-centric this week, but that is par for the course these days.  Our tween is less amenable to pictures these days...

Monday: a cute face, a pretty sky, and playing with friends in our brick-filled backyard

Tuesday: monster drawings and reading

Wednesday/Thursday: helping organize G-ma's closet, watching the Masked Singer, and helping Dad with the backyard project

Friday: Maya had testing at school so she stayed home with me today, Callie got to go to Boom's house by herself!

A Picture Update/Weekend Wrap-Up

Hey all.  Happy Sunday! Since I missed my usual picture update post on Friday, here are the pics from the whole past week.

Backyard project- a new retaining wall.  It is a slow and laborious process, but Chris and our friends have been hard working rockstars.  It will be awesome when it is done!
