Happy Birthday Mila!!!!

This little peanut is ONE YEAR OLD today!!!!!

She was born at the start of 2020 and her first year IN 2020 meant a lot of seeing family from afar or in masks.

But I’m grateful we were still able to get in some snuggles. She’s the sweetest! We love you Mila!

Timehop Tuesday

First we have a Timehop video! Kona’s life with a baby was quite more chill than Luna’s life with two crazies. Click here to check it out.

Then we have babies at music tables, which are approximately from 2010, 2014, 2018, and 2020!

Weekend Wrap-Up

It is somehow already Sunday night. Our weekend was pretty chill.  On early Saturday morning I did another 6 miles on the treadmill, which resulted in some late morning nap time/snuggles.

Later we had some masked cousin time...with all the cousins!

This morning we watched Boom play her flute for church. And then I tried another nap and it didn’t go well...

Then we did our weekly Gosselin winter adventure!

The sun was shining and it was a beautiful day.

Now on to another full week... and the end of January. Crazy!

A Picture Update

Hey all-

My Friday was crazy busy full of meetings on Zoom, so my brain and eyes are completely fried.  Not too much to report.  Here are the pics from the week.

Tuesday- sunset walks and bows and arrows

Wednesday- school at G-ma's, sledding, watching Amanda Gorma's poem, and an applicable fortune cookie fortune

Also, if you missed my Inauguration post on Wednesday,  click here.

Thursday- Luna being Luna and school with Pa and Auntie Cat

Friday- school at Boom's, and more Luna being Luna while I was trying to work

I'll leave you with 30 seconds of the craziness that is our house on a daily basis.  Click here!

Have a great weekend.

Inauguration Day 2021

Happy Inauguration Day!!!

I am so grateful to have been able to work at home and see the Inauguration Ceremony live.

There was a beautiful sunrise to start the day!

I wore my Kamala shirt and was so excited to see the new administration arrive at the capitol.

And then the ceremony began and it was beautiful!

I posted the picture on the left (below) today because I’m just SO EXCITED about Vice President Harris. We took that picture back in November. So much has happened since then.

The celebration today was so hopeful. This morning I tried finding the Kamala shirts for the girls to wear, but of course in the madness of getting ready it didn’t happen. But I think the shirts they chose for the day are still VERY appropriate. Maya’s is a quote from the show “Hamilton”- YOUNG, SCRAPPY, AND HUNGRY. And Callie’s says STAY MAGICAL.

My favorite part of the Inaugural was the poet Amanda Gorman's performance.  And let’s hope that President Biden’s message of hope and unity can start to heal our country and bring back its magic!

Weekend Wrap-Up

It's Monday!  We had a pretty lazy long weekend, and I'm okay with it.

On Saturday morning, there seemed to be some sort of committee meeting held on our deck. And then Maya and I enjoyed an outdoor adventure with Luna.

Chris began the process of making a homemade bolognese sauce, and Callie was clearly very excited to help him squish the tomatoes.  Later, the meal was delicious!

But back to the afternoon- Maya and I dropped Callie off for a sleepover with Boom and she brought all her JellyCat animals.  She looked pretty silly in the elevator...ha!  Then we had a movie night with Maya and went out for a walk before bed.  She created the little "Snow Blob."

Callie had a fun time with Boom, and was spoiled as per usual.  Speaking of spoilage, Maya conned her dad into paying for things at her "store," filled with things she already owned that we ALREADY BOUGHT HER.  She scored $2 and apparently plans to diversify her store offerings.

Yesterday afternoon we went on our weekly outdoor adventure with G-ma, Pa, Auntie Cat, Uncle Dan, Auntie Hanna, Mitchell and Shambles! It's fun to explore new outdoor places around the cities.  And it is something we would have never done if we weren't forced outdoors.  Once again I'm grateful for a mild winter so far (FINGERS CROSSED).

Last night we had another movie night and Luna was awkward.

Today we were all off and home and just kind of putzed around.  We probably should have been more productive than we were, but there was some laundry folded and dishes done.  And I finished my Aladdin puzzle!

After dinner we met friends at an ice rink. They had an extra pair so Callie gave it a try!

It’s a big week for our country and I’m not sure how to articulate the importance of this moment. So I’m just praying for peace this week and beyond.
