Weekend Wrap- Up

Happy Monday! We had a three day weekend and had some fun.

This is what our Friday night consisted of.

On Saturday morning the girls messed around with the iPad camera and created some wacky images.

 I took Luna for a walk, and it was COLD. My hair turned white!

While Chris took the girls to dance, I met my friend Libby for a “Build and Brunch” and made a hanging initial for our house.

It was fun to get a little crafty. And use a drill!

Let’s see...we didn’t do much else. Chris took Maya to Costco while I made a yummy chicken wrap and had a fascinating conversation with a cowgirl at dinner. Ha! We also read some Dr. Seuss and dinosaurs came along too.

On Sunday morning we went to see Boom play bells at church.

And went sledding for a bit.

Then the girls went over to Uncle Dana and Auntie Hanna’s and raised Hanna’s shoe closet! And her shoes almost fit Callie!

Today we went to hang out with Boom, Lucy and Iris.

And then stopped by to see G-ma.

Happy Valentine’s Day! AND A Picture Update

Full disclosure...I had a post all set to go for yesterday and totally forgot to actually post it. Oops! So here’s that...

Happy Heart Day!

And now, a travel back through time and hearts and squishy faces!

And remember when I was a runner? And we had nothing to do but run 5Ks and hang out on Valentine’s Day?

We may have more wrinkles and gray hairs, but I like where we are at 10 years later!

Snow and dogs!

Maya got an awful cold so I stayed home with her on Wednesday. We had fun anyway.

And met Boom and Lucy for lunch! Later, Callie surprised all of us by eating a few bites of my sandwich that had things like LETTUCE AND MAYO AND AVOCADO AND CHEESE on it. Maybe she won’t be so picky as she gets older? 

Then there was Valentine’s Day fun.


And...that’s about it. But I don’t think I have posted my February photos of the day for awhile, so here you go!

Weekend Update

Happy Snowy Sunday! Maya has strong feelings about the snow this morning, but also she refused to wear her hat and gloves at this moment, so I didn’t feel too bad for her...ha.

Anyway, our big outing yesterday was to Edinborough and dinner with Boom, Auntie Yoda, Uncle Craigles, and Lucy!

Today we got a little cabin feverish, so we spent a bit of time out in the snow. As annoying as it is, it is still pretty.

Amidst all the craziness, Maya took the iPad and started taking random pictures around the house. And then random videos, which you’ll see an example of later in the weekend video compilation.

Late this afternoon we baked banana bread, Maya made a “flute”, and Uncle Dan, Auntie Hanna and Shambles stopped over.

While they were here, the girls “performed” a play. I got clips of it on video, and let’s just say it probably could stand a little more rehearsal...hahahaha.

A Picture Update

What. A. Week.

Here’s a list of things from the week.

1) Chris was in Texas for work. Lots of girl time.

2) So much snow.

3) My car died in the school parking lot during the big snow storm on Tuesday. Thank goodness Pa called me at the exact moment I realized my car wasn’t going to start and he came to save us. THANK YOU PA.

4) Speaking of saving us (and my sanity), we had dinner at G-ma and Pa’s on Wednesday with Auntie Cat.

5) I love seeing pictures of Maya at school, and I also love hearing her read!

6) And I went to HAPPY HOUR after work.

Weekend Wrap-Up

I’ll be honest, I had no idea it was Super Bowl weekend until yesterday, so no exciting parties or yummy dips for us.

But our weekend was fun regardless!

We had a relaxing Saturday morning hanging out with Luna. And Cal and I did some yoga.

Maya had a play date with a girl from dance class yesterday morning. Chris dropped her off over there and they played dolls and ate lunch. She had SO MUCH FUN and I’m bummed there is no photographic evidence. But the mom did text me later that Maya laughed hysterically at everything her friend said and reminded her of Gus from Cinderella with all the cute giggling. 

After dance class we went sledding! It wasn’t the greatest snow, but it was nice to be outside in a balmy 38 degrees!

Then Callie took us out to dinner at Punch with the gift card she won at our Christmas game.

Ironically, the one place that Callie actually eats at is the one place Maya refuses to eat at. So we brought her alternate pizza in the form of Lunchables. So ridiculous!

This morning we went outside again! It was SO FOGGY.

And then we went over to Boom’s house.

The rest of the day was just at home managing chaos. No photos needed.

And then dinner.

And a bit of the Super Bowl, and Callie’s face trying to understand what Chris is teaching her about football is hilarious.
