Happy St. Patty’s Day

The girls are wearing green for Nana today!

It’s always fun to look back in Timehop on these holidays.

And one of my favorites- Callie’s first St. Patty’s Day.

A Picture Update

Happy Friday!!!!!

Callie was off of school at the beginning of this week, so she got to hang out with Boom, Lucy, Maya, and Iris on Monday.

Maya turned into Tinkerbell on Monday night.

Tuesday was Grandparents Day at Maya’s preschool, so Boom and G-ma (and Callie) had a fun morning with her!

Since daylight savings, we have beautiful late afternoon sunlight in our living room. I noticed the pretty light with Callie yesterday and had to take some pictures. There were lots of “outtakes”...

...before the beautiful money shot.

Sigh. She looks so beautiful and so OLD!! We had her hair curled for spring picture day at school. And her shirt says “Kindness is always in style.” ❤️

Maya went to do art with Pa today.

And Maya had some awesome bedhead this morning, and refused to wear her coat this afternoon because it felt “so warm.”

Have a great weekend!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Hey all!

We had a pretty relaxed weekend. Maya and I went to Target yesterday morning (seriously 7:15am is the BEST time to go to Target...you can strike poses in the cereal aisle like this with no one around to bug you) and then the girls and I took Luna out for some snow fun.

Then we had dance. Maya actually had a little dance “show” up in the big studio. She hasn’t let either Chris nor I stay in the room during her recent dance classes. I tried to sneak in today for the show, but as soon as she saw me she burst into tears and kicked me out. Again. Thankfully Callie was with, and for whatever reason Maya doesn’t mind her being there. Even with my cell phone and clearing taking videos. So here is a big video compilation of some of her dance songs from the animal unit. So. Stinking. Cute. (It’s about 5:00 so sorry it is long! I couldn’t decide which numbers to skip so I just put them all in).

After dance we went to see a middle school production of “Madagascar” and a nearby school. Our neighbor, Hannah, had a small role as a flamingo and Callie was excited to see her after the show. Maya was crabby and wanted to sit by herself at first. Typical.

Today we went over to Boom’s after church for some relaxed play time.

We ended the weekend with a rousing game of Apples to Apples.

Have a great week!

A Picture Update

What a weird week it has been. I was grateful for the 2 snow days to start my week, though, and we took advantage of playing in the snow!

Maya had her kindergarten assessment at school, and then she got to visit Callie’s math class. And also hang out with Luna and Shambles!

I got some Luna snuggles and Maya dressed her up in glasses to make her look smarter (sometimes we call her dumdum).

Today one of my students (who works at Caribou) brought me a mid-day coffee treat and it made my day!

Tonight my mom and sisters got together for dinner and to look a bit through our AncestryDNA results! It was fascinating seeing the similarities and differences!

Have a great weekend!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Happy Sunday!

I’ve been single mom-ing it (with help from our wonderful family) since Wednesday because Chris went to Arizona to golf with my Uncle Jim.

He comes home late tonight (24 hours early because of my panic about the impending snow storm and fear that his flight tomorrow night would be delayed or canceled) and I’m very relieved.

Yesterday we did an early morning target run, as usual.

Then after Callie’s dance class we headed to The Works Museum for Donald and Frederic’s birthday party!

Later we went to G-ma and Pa’s house and played outside in the snow, had dinner, and relaxed.

This was our mood this morning after hearing about the impending snow storm:

We met Boom for brunch and then headed downtown to hang out, as usual.

Lucy will be ELEVEN MONTHS OLD tomorrow which doesn’t seem possible. She’s almost ONE YEAR OLD!!!!

Anyway. After we got home and had some much needed quiet time, we walked to the library since it was sunny and 42 and we know a storm is coming.

They are such good readers. Well, Maya gets chapter books to “read” and looks at the pictures intently.

So if there’s a freak-fracking storm tomorrow, I hope it is big enough to cause a snow day. Otherwise it just makes me crabby. I’m ready for spring.

Have a great week. Happy March!
