Hey all! Happy Monday. We had a lovely long weekend, and now anticipating a snow storm. We'll see what actually happens with the weather tomorrow!
Chris and I had a quiet afternoon getting some things done around the house. Then we (he) made stir fry (yum!). We went over to our friends' house after their kids were in bed and had a lovely time drinking wine and playing Quirkle until almost 11pm!
The sky was so pretty on Saturday evening, so I texted Callie the picture of it at our house (top picture). Then she sent me a couple back with the downtown sky. There are perks of her having her own phone, I guess. Ha.
On Sunday the girls went on a walk with Chris, Pa, and Auntie Cat, and Callie sent me a picture of a bald eagle. We enjoyed the outdoor weather and then Maya did some "curling" in the living room.
Then she re-organized our pantry and later got a bit staticky.
This morning Callie discovered that animal faces now work with Snapchat filters and we couldn't stop giggling at Luna.
Our plan was to go try ice skating at a local rink, but it ended up being closed so we got a car wash instead. And then Maya played outside a bit with the neighbor buddy.
This afternoon while Cal and I went out shopping, Chris took Maya for her first skiing lesson!
Here are some quick video clips (click here) from the past week...silly Mila, the benefits of my month-long plus daily yoga journey (my headstand is SO much better!), and Maya on the ski slopes!
I’ll leave you with two of Maya’s dinner conversation starters:
“Dad, would you rather be a cockatoo or an alien?” (Her response was an alien, because she has already BEEN AN ALIEN…?)
“Dad, if you were a mountain, what would you do? I would make a path for people.”
Have a lovely week.
