A Picture Update

This has been A WEEK y’all.

We are finally officially on SUMMER VACATION. But the lead up to it was a couple of days freaking out Maya may have Covid (she doesn’t, but had a very nasty virus).

So here’s what I’ve got for the the first half of the week: sick Maya and then recovered (sort of) Maya…

…a teen(?) duck in our yard, Maya back to school, my work wife Taylor on our last day with kids, and A MUCH NEEDED MARGARITA.

The last day of school on Thursday! We made it. I could not be more grateful and relieved. Year 18 is in the books!!

Chris and Maya hung out while Cal had dance and I had graduation… and then we all went to get ice cream (except me…I had graduation cake).

I’m going to take the week off and unplug, relax and just ENJOY the first few days of summer. I’ll be back next Friday for a Summer Week 1 Picture Update!

Weekend Wrap-Up: Yay Baby Tiger Edition!

Hi all!  We had a lovely weekend.  This was the only picture I took yesterday.  I love the awesome clouds.

And this one was from my run this morning:

Our big event for the weekend was Auntie Mari's baby shower!  We had so much fun celebrating BABY TIGER.  The girls and Boom made some extra special decorations.

And lots of wonderful ladies came to celebrate with us (and Baby Henry!).

Uh oh Gramma, Callie is ALMOST as tall as you!

We had a nice lunch and then played a baby charade game, which was very entertaining.

Auntie Mari got lots of fun gifts...may of them tiger themed.  

And we three Henderson sisters all had our mothers-in-law in one place...so we had to snap a pic!

It was such a special day and we CANNOT WAIT to meet Baby Tiger out here in the real world!

It is the last week of the school year...we are almost there!

Here is a Timehop of the last time we celebrated my dad’s birthday with him.

I can’t believe how little the girls were. They are so much bigger now and I think he would be so tickled by them and so very proud of them.

Weekend Wrap-Up: The Memorial Day Weekend Edition!

Hi all!  Happy Memorial Day!  I have a helper with my blog today- Maya is standing over my shoulder helping me write about our weekend.

Here goes! On Saturday morning I enjoyed the sunshine during my morning run.  

Maya: Maya cleaned her room (and mom's car) and got new shoes (and a new swimsuit!).

Maya: We went to hike with Boom and played on a park.

Maya: We went to Mitchell and Isla's house and had dinner and played and watched Isla on her walker...

...and had BIG COOKIES! There was a MONSTER COOKIE, and chocolate chip cookie and caramel something else cookie!

Maya: Then we did tie-dye and played a little bit in the backyard.

On Sunday morning I went for a pretty (cloudy) run.

Maya: We met Boom and had Dairy Queen before I went to my SLEEPOVER!

While Maya was at her sleepover, Callie got a hair cut, mowed the lawn, and Luna looked cute through the porch door.

Then Callie tested out the new slip-n-slide and we watched a movie!



Maya: At Boom's house, we did FOUR art projects and Boom bought me bars and I ate three of them.

Maya: Then in the afternoon when Lucy and Mila came over, we had a slip-n-slide/pool deck dinner!

Maya: We took a picture and each time Lucy got in the car, Mila would cry.

Maya: We were playing at the park and we went down a water slide.  And Mila was in the play house with me!

Maya: It was fun.

A Picture Update

Hi all. It has been a long week. The end of this school year is feeling a bit relentless. But we have 8 days left. We’ll make it. 

Not too many pics this week…

Today was so beautiful, so the girls enjoyed some sprinkler time (finally) and a little bball.

It’s a long weekend so I’ll be back on Monday for the wrap-up. Have a good one!
