It's Pa's birthday! (And happy belated birthday to Papa, who celebrated yesterday!)

Pa hung out with Maya yesterday morning, and texted me this cute little exchange:

Pa: What is Elliott?

Maya: A cat.

Pa: What is Kona?

Maya: A dog.

Pa: What is Maya?

Maya: A big girl.

Pa: What is Pa?

Maya: A Bob.

Hahahaha! Love you Pa! Have a fun day!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Ok, so sometimes I try and publish things on my phone and sometimes they fail, like this week on Thursday. I thought I published a birthday post for Pa, but apparently it didn't work. So I'm going to try publishing that again after this post!

It is so hard to believe that next week's wrap-up is going to include stuff about THE WEDDING!!!!

So in order to counteract that craziness of next weekend, we had the most chill weekend this weekend.

Seriously.  These were the only 4 pictures I took yesterday:

Top: Walks with Kona (she visited our house yesterday)
Bottom Left: Reading at Boom's house with Callie.  I should say, Callie reading to ME.
Bottom Right: Watching the Lynx home opener!  Callie was riveted.

This morning I was done with 11 miles by 7:45am.

The girls enjoyed pancakes with Uncle Larry's real homemade maple syrup.  Delicious!

It has been cold outside again this past week, but was a little bit nicer today.  So we got out the water table and enjoyed the sunshine.

A Picture Update

Uffda this has been quite a week.  My tank is empty.

I don't have many pictures for you this week.  In fact, if it wasn't for G-ma, Pa, Chris and Boom I wouldn't really have any at all.

As usual, Maya and Boom had a fun and busy time downtown this week.

And both girls had fun with G-ma and Pa this week, including them going to Callie's school this morning for Grandparents' Day.

Chris, Craig and Josh got to golf yesterday at my Dad's country club.  Chris and my Dad golfed there a lot.  For lots of years.  It was the first time Chris had been there since my Dad died.  He texted me a picture on the 18th hole and said "Cloudy the whole round and sun comes out on 18."

We will all be at that club in a little over a week for Mari and Josh's WEDDING RECEPTION.

Yes, the wedding is A WEEK FROM TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Weekend Wrap-Up: The Mother's Day Edition!

First off, HAPPY MOTHER'S Day to Boom, G-ma, Nana and Grammy!  And all the other awesome mothers out there!

Here I am with my two little stinkers, with the best picture we could get this morning:

As for our weekend...yesterday started off with a very smokey 5 mile run.  It was a little creepy outside, and I found out later it was because of all the fires up north. The pictures don't do the sun justice- it looked like it was a pink/orange ball of fire.

We went to the garden store to buy some things for our pots out front.  My friends did our pots last spring, so I was a newbie this year.  I have NO idea if they will actually turn out.

Callie had dance picture day, so she got to try on her dance costume for the first time.  She will be dancing to "Hard Knock Life" from Annie at her recital in June.  She and her classmates looked pretty darn cute.

Maya napped at my mom's, so I decided to take Callie to the cemetery in the afternoon.  She was curious about it all, and ran around reading the other names on the grave markers.  It was a beautiful day there, so we spent some time driving around as well.  We brought Bops some lilacs.

We spent the rest of the day downtown while Chris went golfing.

This morning I was out for my long run at 5:45am.  The getting out of bed part is hard sometimes, but the being done with 10 miles by 7:30am part is awesome.

Boom and I went to Sunday School with Maya today, and then we all went for a picnic and play time at a park.

Callie spent the afternoon at G-ma and Pa's, and she biked with them to the garden store.

We met the rest of the crew at Auntie Cat's to celebrate Mother's Day and Pa's upcoming birthday!

I spent the evening with my mom and sisters. We ordered in yummy food and got Izzy's!
