A Picture Update

It’s that time of winter break when I rarely know what day it is. But here we are at the Friday after the birthday/Christmas chaos. 

Here are the pics!

First up- Christmas Eve Day. We always open our family gifts that morning.

Luna was unhappy with her gift- a dog gate- due to the fact she will now not be able to sneak upstairs and eat whatever is on the floor of the girls’ rooms. 


The rest of the day was just spent at home playing the new VR headset and other video games. 

Santa came that night and the girls were up sort of early (by 8ish) to see what they got!

The we headed to Uncle Dan, Auntie Hanna, Mitchell and Isla’s house for Christmas Day fun! 

We had a delicious brunch, as usual.


And opened presents! 


Then there was dessert and another little birthday celebration for Cal 


It was a fun day! Later that night, Chris joined the girls for some dancing video games and I couldn’t stop giggling. No videos were allowed, unfortunately. 


Yesterday was a pretty relaxed day (Maya used her new Chipotle gift card for lunch) and then Uncle Dan, Auntie Hanna, Mitchell and Isla came over to play the VR and do more dancing video games.

We are so excited for a BOY cousin on the Henderson side! And another baby with the CJ initials born on Callie’s birthday is so special!!! We love you, Carter Joseph!! 💙💙💙

Weekend Wrap-Up

Helloooooo!  My wrap-up is delayed after the big birthday yesterday, and we also have some VERY exciting news. The girls have a new cousin!!!!! More to come, but he was born yesterday, on Callie’s birthday. While we were awaiting the news I obsessively made Oreo Balls to keep my mind on something else.

But let me back up to Saturday. The girls had a fun day swimming and making cookies at G-ma’s, and then we did a couple early gifts.

How cool is that blanket and pillows G-ma made for us out of all the Lynx t-shirts and rally towels we got during the finals???

Sunday was the big birthday, and Callie opened her presents before 8am. The girls also did a little sledding.

Callie had 3 friends over for a sleepover, but she still let us do some family photos with the cake.

I think she had a fun day!

A Picture Update

We made it to winter break!!! I barely have my wits about me but here goes:

My school staff did a “secret” staff spirit week the first half of the week, meaning Monday was stocking hat day, Tuesday was vest day, and Wednesday was ugly Christmas sweater day. The kids caught on pretty quick…

Callie was sick most of the week with weird recurring fevers. She looked like this (this was taken today when she was feeling better, and she asked me to take it, but you get the idea).

Dan got free tickets to The Little Mermaid at the Ordway, so Hanna and I had a girls night out to the theater.

Maya and Chris went to Nana’s Christmas party on Wednesday, and look who’s almost as tall as Nana!

Maya and Luna enjoyed the snow dump on Thursday.

And finally, the elves. I think I missed a photo or two, but let’s just say the elves have lost their creativity and passion for crazy things and they just plop in a new spot every morning at 6:29am before children emerge from their rooms…
