In anticipation of the dance recital this weekend, here are some Timehops that go WAY BACK.

Weekend Wrap-Up

Hey all! We used the weekend to decompress a bit. There was a thunderstorm, Luna, and a movie night.

And an early morning long run…

…and a Lynx game!

Have a great week!

A Picture Update

Hi all! TGIF and TGI...SUMMER!

This was a VERY long week but I finally made it to summer, too!

The girls had a busy first week of their summer.  On Monday they went to Boom's house for baking, tooth losing, being silly, and relaxing, among other things.

On Tuesday they stayed home with Chris and Maya did some weeding...while I wore black along with two of my work BFFs, so we had to get a photo (also it was spirit week (color day) and the staff color was black).

The girls spent Wednesday with G-ma where they swam, relaxed, kayaked...and also had lunch with Boom and Mila!

They spent Thursday with Pa where they went out to lunch, spent time doing art and playing mini-golf.  I captured my last 4am run sky (hopefully my body will let me sleep in a bit later this summer!) and the last day of work for the year with my work BFF, Taylor.

Today was my first official day of summer!  So, of course, the girls and I headed to THE BEACH.  One of my fave summer locales. You can definitely expect many more beach pictures this summer!

This afternoon we headed over to babysit Mitchell and Isla, because it is Dan and Hanna's 5th anniversary today!  Yay!!

Have a good weekend!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Happy Sunday...it is a hot one!

Yesterday morning I got out at 6am for my long run, and it was so lovely.

Chris was out all day with friends, and in the afternoon while Maya was outside playing, she discovered two tiny bunnies way down in a window well in our backyard.

I had no interest in figuring out how to get them out, so she conned Uncle Dan in getting them out when they came over for backyard pool time.  He got both of them out, and all the kids got to see the cute little baby bunnies up close.  He put them back under our deck, where millions of other bunnies live.

Then the kids had fun and stayed cool in the pools!

We ate dinner, and as usual, it got to be a messy affair (for most).

Then Callie decided to take 0.5x face pictures, which always makes us giggle.

Today we went to eat pizza and go on a hot walk around the St. Anthony Main area with Boom, Auntie Yoda, Lucy and Mila.

One more crazy week (for me), and then a different kind of crazy (summer) starts.  I am ready!

A Picture Update

Hi all! Happy Friday.

I don’t have much left after my post from yesterday, so here are the couple pics I have from the week: an early morning sky and the girls at the beach and a donut shop with the Dahlens on their first day of summer:

Have a great weekend! Stay cool…

June 1

Today is my dad’s birthday. He would be 68. We miss him. Over the past 8 years we have marked it by having dinner with friends, sending off balloons to heaven, or getting Dairy Queen treats.

I always remember fondly the birthday we spent with him when Callie was a tiny toddler. We ate on the T&C patio and he took the wiggly Callie around the putting green as we waited for our meal.

This year, June 1st is a crazy day in our household. It’s the girls’ last day of school.

Callie’s finished her 7th grade year.

She had a few friends over to celebrate the start of summer. We made pizza. They ate snacks in our basement and watched weird TV shows. I wasn’t allowed to take pictures of them, so here’s a pile of teenage girl shoes.

Maya’s finished her 4th grade year.

Chris said she was crying as she got off the bus. She had such a good year, with a wonderful teacher and good friends. She was sad, but agreed that she was excited for summer too.

So…to cheer up and celebrate Bops, she and I met Boom at Dairy Queen after dinner.

On to a new season (for them) and one more week of chaos (for me).

And happy birthday, Dad. We love and miss you.
