Happy Valentine’s Day!

They don’t allow me to dress them alike or in pink anymore, so thankfully we had a balloon from Boom to help make it clear it is, in fact, Valentine’s Day.

And here is a walk back in time!

Ok…and then I had to go back to before kids because, frankly, it is a bit hilarious. So here we are starting in 2008 and going all the way back to 2001 (I think?!). I think the only year lost to time is 2005…ironically. That’s our wedding year. I hadn’t yet started my years-long journey of scrapbooking. 

Weekend Wrap- Up

Happy Sunday!  We had a lovely little weekend.  Even thought it was FREEZING COLD again.  

Yesterday morning I waited to do my yoga until after the girls woke up (usually I do it around 4:30am), so I had some company...but I also was able to look at the window and see the pretty sunrays! Later, Maya and I made some fancy pretzels and Luna stared me down because she was so mad I wouldn't take her out for a walk in the freezing cold weather.

Yesterday afternoon we had a Valentine's party with Boom, Auntie Yoda, Lucy and Mila!  The cousins has A BLAST together and it was a few hours of pure fun chaos.

Boom made each of the girls beautiful heart wall hangings!


And the chaos continued in Boom's closet with her clothes on.

There was play time and Snapchat time...and we had spaghetti pie for dinner and a big heart cake for dessert.  

Happy Early Valentine's Day!

This morning we had friends over for some play time and lunch.  

Then we headed to ISLA'S FIRST BIRTHDAY PARTY!!!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Happy Sunday everybody!  We had a nice relaxing weekend.  Yesterday morning Maya and I played Upwards, while she was wearing a backwards baby bonnet an making up crazy words.  But it was fun, nonetheless.

While Chris was running errands, I took the girls to the outlet mall.  It was quite the experience to actually go shopping in stores again!  We have gotten way too used to the convenience of Target drive-up. We survived, and Maya got slippers while Cal got FOOTIE JAMMIES.  

Later, we snuggled before bed.  Somehow they both smiled for me...a small miracle these days.

This morning we headed to Boom's house for some crazy cousin time!

Callie had fun with Lucy and Mila on Snapchat.

We watched some Olympics tonight, which of course meant pretend figure skating. That also sometimes ended up with them flying through the air or falling on the floor.

A Picture Update

Well, everyone. It is Friday. And I took a total of ONE picture this week.

To be honest, it was a bit of a tough one…there was a fatal school shooting on Tuesday that was not very far from our house. It’s hard to try to explain that stuff to the girls now that they are older. We can’t really hide stuff from them anymore.

And Chris and I went to our good friend’s dad’s funeral yesterday morning. We didn’t know him personally, but all the stories that were told about him reminded me very much of my dad. It obviously brought up some stuff for me. 

And it has just been so freaking cold.

So I’m pretty tired and just glad to have a couple of days to be home and relax. Like this one did (in my personal bubble as per usual) on Monday.
