A Picture Update

We are in the blurry topsy-turvy time between Christmas and New Year’s and I don’t really know what day it is until I really think about it.  

Here are some things we did this week:

Drank out of fancy new straws!

Played with new toys (and wrote thank you notes for said toys, etc.)!

Saw John and Jenny at Boom’s house for lunch!

Played in the newly fallen snow (and then took a nice warm bath)!

Played on Snapchat!

Goofed off with a silly doggy!

Got pedicures!

Christmas Wrap-Up

Holy Moly guys, Christmas definitely needs its own wrap-up.

On Christmas Eve morning the girls opened their presents from us, and then played with so many toys. Auntie Mari and Uncle Josh has spent the night so they were around too!

Our family tradition is to open our presents on Christmas Eve morning since the rest of Christmas Eve and
Christmas Day are so busy with our families!

Then we headed to Boom’s house for the day.

The girls enjoyed Boom's Lipstick Pudding- a tradition from her childhood.

This morning the girls came down right before 7am to see their Santa gifts!

Spolied. Rotten.

Then around 9am the Gosselins plus Boom and Great Margie descended on our house for another fun Christmas celebration.

Then we headed back to Boom’s for a Christmas party with the Johnsons, Suurmeyers and Lindsays!

Lucy was THE CUTEST little elf.
There were SEVEN kids (with another Johnson/Gordon and another Suurmeyer/Gusa on the way)!
The older kids played on the computer a bit and took over the toy room.
The younger ones played with other toys out near the adults.  It was controlled chaos.

Coming down from the Birthday/Christmas “hangover” is a little rough. But I think we’ll make it. Lots of fun still ahead!

Weekend Update

Well, it was a busy weekend with more busy days ahead!

Yesterday- THE BIRTHDAY- started out with a 7:30am presents and a donut!

Then there was some playing, Auntie Cat stopped over, dance class, and lunch with Boom!

After dance we headed to the Grove to go swimming!! Guess who was brave enough to jump off the high dive??

Then we headed to Punch for Callie’s favorite pizza. By this time (as you can tell from the picture below), Maya was pretty much done celebrating any kind of birthday. She instead preferred to face the corner of the booth and refuse to eat.

We did a little dance part before bed, which you can see at the end of these birthday videos!

All in all I’d say she had a pretty great birthday.

The fun continued today! We met Boom and Great Margie at a theater to watch the new Mary Poppins Returns movie. It was amazing, and we are also excited to have Great Margie in town for Christmas!!

This afternoon we had our families over for another birthday celebration. Holy moly did we have fun!

That sparkler made Callie’s reaction to her “ice cream bar cake” PRICELESS. Thanks to our amazing family for all showing up and helping us celebrate. Here are some video clips.

This little baby is NINE YEARS OLD today! 

That’s one short year away from DOUBLE DIGITS. 

Nine years ago we became parents.

A Picture Update

You Guys!!!! It’s finally WINTER BREAK!!!!!!

This week Maya did some floor cleaning in multiple ways. Because she loves it. 

I got an interesting gift from a student.

The girls had a Holiday Dance Show. It was Maya’s first time performing on stage and it was stinkin’ adorable. Callie did an excellent job too.

Yesterday I graduated from PT. I have been working on overall strength in hopes it helps my back. It has been 3.5 months of once or twice weekly appointments. Needless to say, I’m glad to be done!

Now I just have to keep it up at home...

Tonight we went over to our neighbors’ house so they could give the girls Christmas presents. Dale and Connie are always so sweet to us and the girls! And the girls LOVE their dog, Josie. While we were there, our other neighbors’ caroling group stopped by and brought cookies!
