Weekend

Once again we had a busy weekend! My sister Laura was home, swimming, hanging out with the Johnsons, anniversary, half marathon, and hanging out with church friends. Here are some pictures:

Hanging out with the parents of her future 3rd cousin:

So glad the race is over!

All in green. Being Callie.

Now we're excited for camp and Duluth!

We Did It!

I'm really tired so I'm going to be brief, but Chris and I finished the half marathon in about 2 1/2 hours. Chris would have finished it MUCH faster but he was a trooper and ran with me. It was H-A-R-D. Much harder than the other ones I have done. Probably because I wasn't as faithful to my training schedule as I was the last couple of races...oops. Lesson learned:) Anyway, we finished and that is that! Here are a couple of pictures from my camera but our wonderful Gosselin and Henderson fans took more so I'll get their pictures and post them at a later date.

We survived the night away from the baby, but it was hard. The last half mile of the race, with each few steps, all that was going through my head was "Cal-lie-Joy, Cal-lie-Joy." She got me through! And my wonderful husband and family. :)

More later. Tired tired tired...

5 Years!!!

5 years ago today:

It was a wonderful day filled with family, friends and lots of love!

We're celebrating by having an evening to ourselves before doing a half marathon tomorrow...half a marathon for half a decade! :)

But that also means that we'll be leaving our little punkin overnight for the first time! She'll be an urban baby by spending the night at the condo with my parents and sisters.

Our race starts at 7am tomorrow morning, and knowing that this face will be greeting us at the finish line is the best motivator EVER:

So send good thoughts our way from 7am to about 9:30am tomorrow morning!

Seriously?

I don't know how it happened but I managed to catch a NASTY summer cold. Great timing. I'm hoping that it mostly clears up by Saturday (13.1 mile race day!) and is totally gone by Tuesday (vacation time!).

I have mentioned this before but I nose blowing issues (according to my family). And this morning while I blew my nose, Callie stared at me seeming to be intrigued, scared and a little amused all at the same time.

Animal Lover

Okay so I know I just blogged, but I took this video right after and it is too cute to not be shared ASAP. We all know that Callie loves to laugh at real live animals. Now she thinks they are funny in books too. Or maybe it was Mommy's animal noises. Whatever it was, she was A-DOR-ABLE. :)

Toys at the Grandparents'!

Callie is one lucky baby- she has some pretty cool toys at our house, but MAN...the toys at Grandma and Grandpa's house and MorMor and Bops' condo are AWESOME!

We've had another busy couple of days. Yesterday we went to the Mall of America with my friend Jenna and her almost 3-month old Charlie. Both of the babies were wearing brown, so we couldn't resist a photo op!

Today we went to Wabun Park again to swim and play at the park with Kylie and Calvin. The babies loved to swing!

Poop

If you don't want to read about baby poop, read no further. Haha.

Callie has been fairly constipated the past few weeks. Meaning lots of hard work for little tiny poop nuggets. We tried prunes, juice, tummy massages, etc. and nothing was working. So when I was at my chiropractor appointment on Friday I had Leslie look at Callie and see if she could tell if there was anything going on. She massaged a spot on her back, and poof! The poop factory is working again! Two big ones yesterday (just for Grandpa!) and 4 little ones today (just for Daddy!). Awesome.

Everyone always told us that we were going to have many conversations about poop once we have a baby, and it is definitely true. Sometimes before Chris and I talk about anything else about the day, we talk about the baby's poop.

Okay enough poop talk. To make up for it, here is a cute video of Callie swinging at the park:
