Yesterday we went to the Twins game! Chris got tickets through work and it was a lovely night for a ball game. Our seats were straight across from the Ford Center, a building where my dad had an office for awhile.

This morning Maya and I went out early(ish) for our training run and I took her to my fave wooden bridge. We got to 2.25 miles and she did great. We use an interval timer to run 4 minutes and walk 1 minute over and over and it makes it more palatable for her to get the mileage done.

Of course, we had a taco bar for dinner.

And then Maya opened gifts- so many cool arty dog themed presents!

The grand finale was her playing the "Happy Birthday" song on the flute with Boom accompanying her on the Autoharp, and then the cookies!

Then it was time to prepare for her birthday party! I ordered custom cookies again (remember Callie's T-Swift birthday cookies?) from Chris' cousin Beth. Maya's chosen party theme was DOGS and Beth did an amazing job!

Party time arrived and THANKFULLY there were no thunderstorms (though it rained a lot earlier in the day) so the kids were able to do the Slip 'n' Slide!

Then it was time to move inside for a rousing game of POOP BINGO!

All in all it was a fun weekend and now we gear up for more birthday celebrations as the big day is coming up on TUESDAY!
