Weekend Wrap-Up

Happy Sunday! We had a pretty chill weekend.  Yesterday morning we anxiously awaited the arrival of our new Sleep Number Bed (that we ordered 5 weeks ago!).  Of course, once they set it up it appeared that it wasn't fully functional.  My side works, but Chris' doesn't totally...so we are getting yet another one delivered in another couple of weeks!  Until then, I will enjoy my side of the bed. ;0)

I got a new cookbook that I have been salivating over, and decided to make the Corn and Leek Bisque for lunch yesterday.  It DELIVERED.  And I have enough for a few lunches this week.  If anyone wants a new fun cookbook, I highly recommend Feed These People by Jen Hatmaker!  In other news, Luna was mad about not being allowed on our bed (for all of like an hour after the new bed came) and protested on pillows.

Later Maya had a blue super, I finished my puzzle, and Chris and the girls played cards while I folded laundry (and notice Luna on the new bed...?).

This morning we went to church and then over to Boom's house for play time an lunch (and guacamole, quest and Yahtzee).

This afternoon was more cousin time!

Happy Birthday Nana!!!

Hooray! It’s Nana’s birthday today! I decided to go find the first pictures of her with the girls. Adorable.

A Picture Update

I can't believe how long this week has been...I cannot believe that Halloween was just this past Monday.  It already feels like a month ago!  But here we are...

Halloween Monday: Callie trick-or-treated with her friends (and other 2/3 of the chipmunks) and Maya and I trick-or-treated with the neighbors.

On Tuesday Maya ate Dots for Bops.

On Thursday I helped Callie with math homework and then we watched the "Prom" episode of Dancing with the Stars, which prompted Maya to ask to see our prom pics.  She said "Dad looks like an old fashioned man from the movies."

Halloween on Monday is a bit brutal, but we had fun nonetheless. 

This year the girls were a ragtag group of Lady Giraffe, Alvin the Chipmunk and Mad Pumpkin.

Weekend Wrap-Up

Hey all! Happy Sunday evening already. We had a lovely weekend enjoying the unseasonably (and kind of creepy) warm weather.

But first, this is what you get when you don’t keep track of your phone and your almost-teen steals it and saves weird Snapchat pictures.

Yesterday we met Boom for a picnic lunch and then a hike!

Today we had a relaxing morning. Chris painted Mayans nails, Pa came over for brunch and games, and Maya had gymnastics.

Then I went hiking again…this time with G-ma, Auntie Hanna and Auntie Cat! We also made it to our usual summer beach, which was lovely. And then Luna and Shambles had a little play date.

And then dinner by the fire!

A (very lame) Picture Update

I sucked at taking pictures this week. These are literally the only  ones I took. I don’t know how it happened! Our weeks are just so busy but not exciting enough for pictures. Ha!
