A Picture Update

Hi all!  It was an exciting week.  It was also pretty chill- lots of snuggle time in the basement watching all our family shows (old seasons of Survivor is one of the new faves!).

But the exciting part: THE GIRLS GOT THEIR FIRST VACCINE SHOT!!!!  Woohoo! 

Maya had ZERO side effects and was her usual crazy self the next day.  Callie had a bit of a tougher time...she came home from school early and was tired with a slight temp.  But totally worth it!

Today I worked from home and remembered how annoying Luna can be, and Pa came over for some games and we made muffins too!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Somehow it is already Sunday night! We had a nice chill weekend.

On Saturday we met Boom for lunch and a walk around Centennial Lakes…and smoothies! 

Otherwise it was goofy time at home and then we did a season 8 Survivor binge on the couch! 

This morning I did my run during the pretty sunrise.

And Pa came over this morning to make pancakes and hang out!

Later, Boom, Auntie Yoda, Lucy and Mila came over for a deck dinner! In November! 

And since the sun set at 5pm, we did a glow stick dance party after dinner.

A Picture Update: Happy Birthday Nana!!

Happy Friday!

First up, HAPPY BIRTHDAY NANA!!!! We love you and hope you have a great day! 

These fall school weeks are a bit nuts. They just FLY by and I feel like I can barely catch my breath. 

Just a PSA if you know anyone working in education. It’s wild out there. Buy them coffee or wine or something.

Not me, I’m doing fine. Things are busy and I have a lot going on, but I’m lucky to be supported by great people and it isn’t impacting my mental health (for the most part!). But I have heard stories and read articles and it is just a hard and crazy time out there for people who work in the education system. 

Anyway. I don’t have too many pics, but here is what I got:

Chris ans I left the girls home alone FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER to go vote! It was like 20 minutes and they survived! Here’s hoping maybe an early dinner date is maybe in our future soon…? And then the girls snuggled on the couch for like 2 seconds and I caught it!

And then we have pretty sky and a goofy 3rd grader.

And finally, this girl who leaves for school in the dark (until next week after daylight savings, I suppose) auditioned for the middle school musical on Wednesday and GOT A PART! She will be Sardine Devotee #5 in Spongebob the Musical.

And here’s the annual Halloween retrospective…

On to the weekend! On Saturday morning I was feeling ok, so Cal and I were able to get Luna out for a good run around the field. But then the vaccine kicked in and I spent a few hours in bed while the girls and Chris did some yard work. 

Thankfully it didn’t last too long, and we went out to enjoy the fall weather at the park.

Then Luna "helped" with laundry and Callie headed to her friend's house for an outdoor Halloween party!  Her friend's mom sent me the picture at the bottom.  Adorable!

This morning we headed over to Boom’s house for a Halloween lunch and playtime with her, Auntie Yoda, Uncle Craigles, Lucy, Mila and Auntie Mari!

And then Callie stole my phone to do some crazy Halloween Snapchats! Callie set the Callie-as-Emu picture below as my lock screen on my phone and now I can't undo it because it makes me giggle every time I turn my phone on.

We did some yard work this afternoon...in Halloween gear of course!

And then there was the patient waiting until trick-or-treating could begin.

By 6:30pm we were ready to go!  

There weren't too many kids out tonight, so the girls got a lot of candy!

It’s already Friday! TGIF. The week flew by and I didn’t take too many pics (except for babysitting Mitchell and Isla on Monday night!) but here you go.
