A Picture Update

This crazy super blue blood moon (or whatever it was) week was exhausting! Here’s what I got and it isn’t much commentary.

Monday: Boom’s House!

Tuesday: Kindergarten Open House (what?!?!?!)

Wednesday/Thursday: G-ma and Pa’se House + Bocce and dinner with Auntie Cat!

And good luck to all Twin Citizens this weekend as they endure all of the Super Bowl craziness. It will be fun to see our city represented, but holy moly it’s gonna be a little nuts and I plan to stay as far away as possible.

Weekend Wrap-Up

Hello! We had a pretty chill weekend. Yesterday was spent at Target, home, dance, a little bit at G-ma and Pa’s and outside in the snow.

Today was spent at Boom’s with Lucy.

Today Luna earned herself a new crate by managing to break out of her old one while we were away this morning. Thankfully our bedroom door had been shut so she didn’t get to the rest of the house. She did a number on our room. Stinker!

And then Jenna and her girls came over for dinner.

None of the children followed the direction to smile... we even tried “don’t smile!” And they are all too smart  for us.

I’ll leave you with some video clips from the weekend. They consist of: training Luna, playing outside, Callie working on the 50 states song that I learned in 4th grade (she’s more than halfway to knowing all the states in ABC order!) and Baby Lucy’s new milestone!

A Picture Update

Hello! What a weird week! As I mentioned yesterday, we started the week with snow days. I took pictures every couple hours on Monday once the snow started and it was pretty fast and furious!

Maya still got to go to Boom’s house on Monday for part of the day.

By 5am Tuesday snow days were called for everyone PLUS Lucy! Since we were home, it worked out great to add Lucy to the mix at our house. We had so much fun!

By Wednesday we were back to our regular schedule and Maya hung out with Luna at G-ma and P’s house on Wednesday and Thursday.

Tonight I went out to a lovely Italian dinner with my mom and sisters.

Timehop Tuesday (On Thursday)

Hello! On Tuesday I was on snow day #2! I picked Callie up early Monday and both girls also had a snow day Tuesday. And we got a bonus baby that day, who also had a snow day!

I have 2 Timehops for you. First off, Callie has had some fun birthday parties the past couple years!

And the girls introduced Lucy to the “laptop” that my dad got Callie when she was around 2.

Weekend Wrap-Up

Happy Sunday!

We had a busy weekend.

The girls had dance yesterday. Callie has class at 11:00 and Maya has class at 1:00, so our usual routine is to get lunch in between.

After dance Chris to Luna over to Dan and Hanna’s to meet their dog Shambles. A couple weeks ago we tried having Luna meet Iris and it was a total failure. Chris gave Luna a solid D- for this encounter. 

She has non-existent doggie social skills. But we’ll keep working on training and it can only get better...right? She has already learned so much by working with G-ma the last couple weeks!

The big event of the weekend was Callie finally got to have her friend birthday party yesterday afternoon (A BOWLING PARTY). Along with a few friends she has had since being a baby, this was the first year she invited a number of friends from school. It was pretty adorable to watch her navigate this fun social situation with so many different peers. 

We let her bring along my old phone to take pictures and videos to document the occasion. The videos she and her friends took were pretty cute. Lots of recording bowling balls rolling slllooowwwwllllyyy to hit the pins.  Here are the highlights:

It was quite the afternoon/evening and we were all exhausted at the end. But a good and happy exhausted.

This morning I headed to the cemetery before church. It had been awhile. I had to do some digging to uncover Dad’s plaque, and there was some solid ice stuck to his name. But at least I was able to clear off the “gratitude.”

After church we headed to Boom’s house for lunch and to see everybody.

At one point Maya and I were doing Snapchat with Iris getting her teeth brushed behind us. At one point, Iris joined in on Snapchat!

Maya and I had one cute pizza-themed picture together, and one slightly horrifying face swap.

When we got home, the girls asked if we could play in the snow, so of course we had to! It was a moderate temperature and the snow was perfect for snowmen.

Tonight while Chris went to watch the Vikings game with buddies, the girls and I watched a bit of it at home.  Callie multi-tasked by writing the states out in alphabetical order. I have been teaching her a states song I learned in 4th grade and she is intent on learning it too.
