A Picture Update

​Happy Friday! We enjoyed the sunshine and nice weather this week. And the lilacs finally popped! 

The gerbils have continued their ridiculous drama and I’m the latest casualty of trying to reunify the brothers. Don’t let Peanut’s cute face fool you. He can draw blood.

You can see some gerbil hijinks in some of these video clips (along with some random other things from the past few weeks), but just know neither attempt to put them back together in the past 2 weeks worked and they are still currently in 3 different cages…

Weekend Wrap-Up: Happy Mother’s Day!

​First up, it’s Mother’s day! We are so grateful for all the wonderful women in our lives. 🩷

This was a fun weekend. On Friday night both girls were busy, so Chris and I went out to dinner with friends and I got a pretty pink drink with an origami crane!  Then we picked Callie up and she drove us home…did I mention she got her permit this week???

Yesterday morning was my longest run before my 10K next weekend! It went well and I fell ready. It also helped me get over 18K steps yesterday.

Chris and I went to the Lynx home opener last night. It was so great to be back and to watch new players on the team play. We lost by 1, but it was an exciting game.

This morning I got some time to myself, got a heart bagel and Chris gave me my gift- new homemade wooden planters. Callie also gave me this beautiful drawing.

We went over to Mari’s (everyone but Maya, she has been sick this weekend) and had a great pizza lunch and fun wiffleball in the backyard.

When we got home I spent some time on the porch with these two crazies.

This afternoon, I went over to Dan and Hanna’s for Mother’s Day celebration #2! Unfortunately Maya was still sick and Callie ended up with a fever, so Chris stayed home with them and I got to go enjoy the taco bar and spicy margarita and give G-ma her gifts!

It’s hard to believe in less than 4 weeks it will be summer. Can’t wait! 

A Picture Update

​Happy Friday! It is finally amazingly lovely outside after a chilly week. I had a good couple of early morning runs this week, including a couple deer and some beautiful sunrays.

This was a bad week for the gerbils. We dealt with gerbil drama, if you will…major gerbil fights, which resulted in all three gerbils needing to be separated, which resulted in needing to find a third cage in a short period of time. Thank goodness for Facebook Marketplace…

Weekend Wrap-Up

Hi all! It was a fun weekend. Yesterday I went for a run and Chris got Alex working on outdoor chores.​

Callie and Alex went to a school carnival before we headed to Maya’s afternoon show. And then hosted Great Margie’s birthday dinner!

Today was more relaxed.
