A Picture Update

TGIF! In what should be a surprise to no one at this point, my pics from the week are of food and animals!

It’s a long weekend, so I’ll be back on Monday night for the wrap-up. ❤️

Weekend Wrap-Up

Hey all! We had a few things going on this weekend but still got some down time. A pretty morning sky and a cute/dumb doggie face to start.

And then some cousin time at Boom’s.

Callie went to see ice castles while Maya tried to keep Luna in her bed for a sleepover (it didn’t last).

Today we had fun at Nik and Danielle’s for a Super  Bowl party!

Have a lovely week.

Ice Out Tuesday

Tonight I’m having a bit of a meltdown listening to protest music. So I’m changing my post today because I can’t believe how proud I am of our city and how people are still fighting for peace and for the well-being of their neighbors.

I see ICE vehicles weekly on my way to work (it’s only 1.4 miles from the Whipple building). It is upsetting and jarring every time.

People are now making beautiful music as a way to protest.

I’m not sure if this will work for everyone, but this is a video I just came across that I can only find on Facebook and Instagram. It is absolutely beautiful.

And if you haven’t yet, you MUST watch Bruce Springsteen’s video about Minneapolis.

I also highly recommend looking up singing protests. Here is a good video about it.

People here are so so tired. And they keep going. And I’m just in awe.

Weekend Wrap-Up

Hi all. We had a nice weekend. The past couple of weeks we have been a bit hermit-ish, but this weekend we got out a bit and spent time with family. It was nice.

Yesterday, Jennifer and I volunteered for a Bloomington supply drive that was started by a couple of moms who were completely shocked by the outpouring of donations. It was amazing!!

Last night we celebrated Mila’s birthday!

Today we had Uncle Dan, Auntie Hanna, Mitchell, Isla, Pa and Max over for dinner. And then we all played “Bean-boozled” where you take turns to try various jelly beans that could either be a good flavor OR a disgusting flavor.

Spoiler alert: they were mostly disgusting! Click here for some weekend videos. Mostly Bean-Boozled shenanigans. And have a good week!
