A Birthday/Christmas Week Picture Update

​WHEW!!!! What a first week of winter break! 

It all started with the birthday on Monday! She opened presents in the morning, went to lunch with G-ma, Mitchell, Maya, Alex and Nana. Then that night Boom met us for dinner at Olive Garden!

On Tuesday we had Mitchell all day (and Lita came for a bit too) and then we hosted a combo birthday party for Cal and Carter.

Then on Wednesday (Christmas Eve morning) we opened our family gifts. 

later it was time for Christmas with the Hendersons!

Whew! We made it to Thursday, Christmas, where we hosted the Gosselins for our annual Christmas brunch! But first, Santa came…early in the morning instead of late at night since Santa goes to bed early… ;)

Ok back to brunch! 

And then it was time for gifts. 

It was a wonderful whirlwind! On Thursday evening I decided it was time to just be done with Christmas and start my goal of de-cluttering and rearranging things in our house.

Today Maya and I met Boom, Auntie Mari, Uncle Josh, Avery and Carter out at Scheels and then lunch. 

Tonight Maya got out new new skateboard again and an evening skate.

Frankly, I’m exhausted, and glad for another week off to recover! Enjoy the weekend!

​Somehow in all our holiday celebrating we didn’t get a family photo…but we did get the Henderson cousins last night…

First up, Cal. 16 years ago. 

And then every 12/22 since then!

And here we are…at 16!!!

We love you Cal, and are so grateful for these past 16 years and all the fun to come!

And then…this guy! The CJ birthday twin!!

We get to celebrate them both tomorrow and I can’t wait!! Happy 1st birthday Carter! We love you! 

Weekend Wrap-Up

​Hi all! The start of the crazy birthday/holiday days of madness started yesterday. Callie had her birthday party (sweet 16 tomorrow!) with 8 teen girls at our house hanging out and being generally adorable. 

Today Maya and I met up with the Johnsons and Sharpes and Boom to see a Santa show at Bachman’s! 

We are in for a bus and fun week. Happy Holidays! 

A Picture Update

​Hi all! It’s Friday, and more importantly, WINTER BREAK!!! We made it! We have a very busy week ahead of us, but busy in lots of fun ways. Here are our pics from the week: animals, a band concert, Christmas party at Nana’s Ugly Sweater day (check out our DIY wreath sweaters!), and our dance teacher helping in the holiday dance show.

Timehop Wednesday

​This week is speeding by and I can’t keep up!

Callie helped out with the holiday dance show tonight, so I had to dig back and find her first show as a kindergartener!
