A Picture Update

Hey all!  Happy Friday!

On Monday the girls dressed up and danced around while we watched Dancing with the Stars and on Tuesday Auntie Mari stopped by while Maya was taking weird i-Pad pictures of Luna.

Then I found these on my phone, so obviously her weird photo hobby continued.

On Wednesday evening there was snuggling.

On Thursday morning I went on a 3.75 mile walk/run and started out when it was pretty dark with just the start of color in the sky, and ending when the sky looked like it was on fire.  It was beautiful. 

Then we headed to Boom's house for Thanksgiving!!  The whole cousin gang was there and it was DELIGHTFUL watching all 5 girls play and have fun together.

We had a little Snapchat fun too.

Callie enjoyed the company of both Avery AND Rocky, and I think the feelings were mutual.

We ate our Thanksgiving meal around 12:15 and it was delicious!  My contribution was Broccoli Corn Casserole and Chris made the mashed potatoes. Boom made ice cream pie for dessert, which Lucy considered plate-licking delicious.

The rest of the afternoon we just hung out and played games.  It was lovely.

All in all, it was a great day!

Today was way calmer. At one point Callie and I went grocery shopping (she wanted Spaghettios) and I made chicken wild rice soup.

I had the best of intentions of going through Thanksgiving over the years to post, but I just didn’t get to it. 

So here is this year’s photo…one I forced the rest of my family to smile for even though I was told “we already have plenty of family pictures.”

Timehop Tuesday

My first Timehop is Callie wearing the dress I wore to her baptism…13+ years ago!!

And then…Maya playing with the letter beads at Boom’s house the day before Mari’s wedding in 2016 (she was almost 3 years old). Mari set up Avery (almost 15 months old) on a similar position yesterday!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Hey all! We had a nice weekend. Yesterday the big event was Auntie Mari, Uncle Josh, Avery (and Rocky) got to town for the week!!

We had dinner at Boom’s and the cousins got re-acquainted with each other. Avery was tired from a long day of traveling, but she didn’t mind going to Chris. The rest of us…she wasn’t so sure yet.

Today we met Pa for lunch and then they went swimming. I missed getting any good photos, except Maya being a goofball while we waited for our table at Perkins.

A Picture Update

Hey all. Happy Friday. This has been a long week but we made it.

Maya had her last gymnastics class of the season so I watched her do her tricks and get her ribbon! She starts up a short season next week. She loves it!

And then we had a cute Luna face.

Weekend Wrap-Up

Happy Sunday!  We had a pretty relaxed weekend, which was definitely needed.  On Saturday morning Maya did a little selfie photo-shoot with Luna on the iPad, and the pictures ended up on my phone.  They made me giggle.

We went to Boom's house in the late afternoon and Maya got her first FLUTE lesson!  Also, Callie baked a cake and we ordered Indian food.  

This morning we did a lot of cleaning (and the girls got their flu shots, finally) but the real excitement was I MADE SOUP.  You guys, I just love soup season.  I made the Corn & Leek Bisque that I made a few times last year from my favorite cookbook.  It is creamy and spicy and just delicious.  Later the girls played Lego together and I melted. It rarely happens anymore, and today it was Callie's idea.

The Dahlens came over this afternoon for a campfire.  The kids took off immediately and we barely saw them the rest of the evening, until we ordered pizza.  And later, there was some piano playing and then we all played Maya's "Swich & Swap" game, but we were all to busy having fun to take photos.

Another crazy busy week starts tomorrow...
