Happy Friday.  It is a long weekend, and for that I am grateful.  Here are the pics from the week:

I'll leave you with the 20-21 school pics.  It was the one time this year they went into the school building. I didn't even get my school picture taken (first time...maybe ever? since I was 5?) because picture day was on a day that I was teaching from home.  Oh well!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Happy Sunday. We had a nice weekend. I’m truly grateful for the mild winter we have had so far so we can continue to be outside and see family. We had 2 outdoor adventures this weekend!

Yesterday I ran 6 miles on the treadmill. My 10K is in 3 weeks so I am fairly confident I’ll be ready. :)

The girls found a spot to hang up their new painting from Boom, and I finished my latest puzzle.

That afternoon we met Boom, Auntie Yoda, Uncle Craigles, Lucy and Mila for a walk on Lake Johanna!

Today our big outing was sledding and walking on Staring Lake with G-ma, Pa, Auntie Cat, Uncle Dan, Auntie Hanna and Mitchell.

A Picture Update

Hey all-

I was definitely hoping to leave behind the "this has been a really hard week" posts in 2020.  But, alas, here we are.  The first full week of 2021 and it has just been pretty devastating and exhausting.  So my brain is mush and that's about all I have got.  Here are our pictures:

Monday: back to school, sun rays, and readers

Tuesday: an afternoon ski trip and a tired doggy

Wednesday: school at G-ma's, sunsets, snuggles

Friday: Boom painted the girls an amazing picture of Luna for our toy room!

Our New Years celebrations have changed...especially this year!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Happy Sunday night!  Here we are at the end of Winter Break.  I can't believe how fast it went, but I'm glad to have structure again.  The girls are getting feral.  LOL.  Anyway...yesterday we didn't do too much.  There was cake baking in the morning (for no reason besides Callie wanted to bake by herself but then chose a complicated recipe so she got some help from Chris).  It was good!

I took Luna for a walk in mid-day and it was so misty out.  The frost on the pines looked lovely.  We then played Drawful with Boom, Auntie Mari, Auntie Yoda (and Mila!).


Last evening Maya tried to teach Doggie school, but one of the pupils was being a complete weirdo.

This morning we went to Boom's house for a change of scenery.

And this afternoon we went on a beautiful winter hike with G-ma, Pa, Auntie Cat, Uncle Dan, Auntie Hanna, Mitchell and Shambles!  It was a lot of uphill hiking, but the view and scenery was worth it.  So lovely!

And we finally got another picture of the three cousins.  It had been awhile!

Happy New Year! Picture Update

We made it through 2020 and into 2021. If you missed my 2020 wrap-up yesterday, click here! This was the Fastest. Week. Ever. It truly felt like I blinked on Monday and it is now Friday.  It feels a bit like this:

And for me it was cheese AND Oreo balls.

Thursday: another running goal accomplished, play time, low-key New Years Eve festivities

Friday: a bright white walk in the new year, and more sledding with the cousins

The girls have spent so much time outside in the snow this week.. I’m so grateful it has been pretty mild temperatures for them to do it.
