A Picture Update

Happy Friday!

We had a pretty regular week. There was a book fair at the girls’ school and I gave them each money. Maya decided to buy a fuzzy kitty notebook and gummy bear marker instead of an actual book. Callie is an excellent photo-bomber but at least purchased something she can actually read (and an invisible ink spy pen).

Maya loves Luna and Pa came to hang out with her class and the end of the day yesterday. Her teacher sent me the picture of them playing Four Corners!

Last night I made Crispy Brussel Sprouts and Risotto (via Blue Apron, not of my own planning) and I thought that maybe if I had Maya help me she may actually eat it. Well... she tried it but then spit it out and cried. I, however, loved it.

This morning we had family breakfast at school and Pa joined us. Then I got to ride downtown with Chris because I had a staff retreat at a building a few blocks away from his. But it didn’t start til 10 so I got to sit by myself at a fancy downtown coffee shop for a bit and just relax. It was lovely.

Tonight the girls decided to pass notes back and forth in a creative fashion. They are always thinking and inventing!

Last but not least, our ELVES ARE BACK! They arrived last Sunday and have been up to no good ever since.

Baby Mitchell!

The BEST Thanksgiving week surprise came in the form of our new nephew/cousin...

MITCHELL ROBERT GOSSELIN!

He was born on Monday, November 25th (6 weeks early!), and will need to spend some time in the NICU, but is doing SO well.  We visited Dan and Hanna at the hospital a few times last week, and I was able to go down to the NICU and meet Baby Mitchell this past Wednesday and again yesterday.  He's a precious little peanut and I adore him already!

The girls can't go in the NICU because they are too young, but they are SO excited for the chance to meet him when they can (in person).

Welcome to the fam, Baby Mitchell!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Happy Sunday!  We had a fun long weekend amidst all of the crazy snow and things going on in the family!

Yesterday we celebrated Pa's upcoming retirement.  It was supposed to be a bigger party, but with the stupid snow it turned out to be just immediate family and a couple neighbors.  But we had fun anyway, and were excited to celebrate Pa (and Dan and Hanna came too so we got to celebrate Baby Mitchell a bit!).

Mary and Bob gave them some of the clothes Dan wore as a baby, and ALSO a couple cute rompers that
Bob wore as a baby!  So special!

The big event was a surprise Wheel of Fortune game that we put together to let Pa know that he and G-ma will be going on CRUISE this winter!  Hooray!  Click here for some video of how it went down.

After the party I took Luna on a very snowy snow-globe-like walk and the girls stayed to hang out with G-ma and Pa a bit longer and they were tired!

Today we got out all our Christmas stuff!  We still need a tree but will hopefully do that next weekend.

And then I got to go visit Mitchell and Hanna in the NICU. I'll do a post about Mitchell tomorrow, when he is one week old, but for now here are a couple of pictures from today!  I FaceTimed Chris and the girls while I was holding him so they could "meet"him!  I got to hold him for over an hour while he got fed and it was so lovely.

Can you even handle how cute he is?  I CANNOT.

Later the girls and I took Luna out.

And it is the end of a week of them being together nearly all day every day, so they are ready for the school routine again (though they claim not to be) and WE are ready for them to be back at school.  Ha!  But it is crazy to think there are only three more school weeks until winter break.  Happy December!

I'll leave you with some videos from this past month...click here!

A Picture Update

Holy Moly what a week! On Monday morning we sent the girls to hang out with Boom, Lucy, and Iris because the girls were off ALL WEEK.

Our nephew/cousin was born that morning and we were so excited!!!

On Tuesday I hung out with the girls.  We went to the zoo in the morning and took selfies with a variety of animals.

It ended up snowing a bunch on Wednesday so I had a snow day and we went out to play in the snow right away in the morning.

And then again right before bedtime.

I got to meet our newly named NEPHEW/COUSIN in the NICO on Wednesday afternoon and it was the best!  And guess what?  He is named Mitchell Robert and he's SO ADORABLE.

Thanksgiving was Thursday. In the morning Chris took the girls sledding with some friends.

Later we went to Boom's house and FaceTimed with Auntie Mari and hung out with Auntie Yoda, Uncle Craigles, Lucy and Boom.

And later G-ma, Pa and Auntie Cat came for Thanksgiving dinner and a puzzle game that Callie printed out and created.

Dinner was delicious and Lucy loved the PUN-KIN pie.

This morning we were outside in the snow by 7:30am!

Then later we played in the snow (YET AGAIN) with the Held crew. Getting them all in one spot for a picture proved challenging.

Have a great weekend!
