A Picture Update

Happy Friday!  This has been a VERY weird week.

First of all, Monday was BEAUTIFUL and 70 degrees.  We played outside.  We went around our neighborhood to pick up trash.  We enjoyed the sunshine and biked with the neighbors.  It was lovely.

Tuesday night Callie had the Science Fair.  She has been working on her project the past couple months on and off...and ended up winning an agate rock for being one of the top 5 projects in 3rd grade!

In other news, I accidentally realized on Tuesday that I like to wear and accessorize with the color plum.

On Wednesday, THE SNOW STARTED.  And Mari informed us it was 85 degrees down in Missouri...

Yestersy was a SNOW DAY.  That makes 2 years in a row of mid-April snow days.  BONKERS.  I took Luna out for a very windy walk this morning, and then we tried to go outside again later to play but it was still windy and ridiculous so we didn't last very long.

Then we stayed inside and tried to keep busy.  Luna also wouldn't leave me alone.

Later we watched the first episode of Our Planet on Netflix, and Luna was WAY into the part about the wild dogs hunting the wildebeasts.

Tonight Auntie Mari swung by!  She's in town for a bachelorette party so she came over for dinner along with Uncle Craigles and Lucy!

Here are a few videos from our week.  Enjoy!

And just to reiterate how weird the weather was this week...

Have a great weekend!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Happy Sunday...First up: Happy 68th Anniversary Nana and Papa!!!!! We love you!

I can't believe how fast the weekend went.  Back to reality tomorrow...

On Friday morning I picked up the girls and took them to school and then hung out with Luna, who is a toy destroyer after 2 minutes. Then later Callie tried one of the souvenirs we brought them- a SCORPION SUCKER (see video at the end of the post for their reactions).

Yesterday we had Lucy's birthday party!  It was donut themed and adorable.

Laura made a delicious brunch, Lucy opened presents, and then there was just general chaos and playing with the new toys.

And DONUTS of course.

Then we FaceTimed Auntie Mari and Uncle Josh!

It was a super fun party and the inflatable donuts were A HIT.

For a few videos of the birthday party fun, click here!

Today after church I took Maya over to the Helds for a play date...

...and Chris took Callie downtown for a T-Wolves game. Afterwards they met up with Uncle Craigles, Auntie Yoda and Lucy to check out the Final Four stuff.

And then a few of us snuggled and one of us had crazy eyes.

Here are a couple more videos from the weekend!
Enjoy!

Have a great week! Word on the street is we may get ANOTHER SNOW STORM now that most of our snow has all melted...

A Spring Break Picture Update

Hey everybody!

As I mentioned yesterday, Chris and I escaped the dreary MN spring and headed to visit Uncle Jim and Aunt Coco in Scottsdale, AZ!  We left early Sunday morning and got back at 2am yesterday morning.

While we were gone, the girls had a fun time doing their school week routine at G-ma and Pa's house.  Unfortunately, Callie ended up getting a bad ear infection on Sunday, but G-ma and Pa had it handled!  Here are some pictures from their week!

Callie taking it easy, and Maya being a big helper.
April fools!  The girls "SWITCHED PLACES!"
There's always yummy food and fun to be had at G-ma and Pa's house.
And now, for some SUNSHINE!  When we landed on Sunday, we rented a car, took in the desert scenery, and later I basked in the sun while Chris, Jim, and Coco went to hit golf balls.

That night we went to dinner at a great restaurant and then headed to a concert at the Musical Instrument Museum.  The band was called LUNA, so of course I had to get a t-shirt.

On Monday I went for a run and enjoyed the sun coming up over the mountains.

Then we spent a good chunk of the day on the golf course.  I walked the course with them while they played.  It was beautiful!

Then we went to a delicious dinner near the course and enjoyed the sunset on the drive home.

On Tuesday, Chris and I got up and out of the house by 6:45am and headed to Sedona!  We stopped at a cowboy spot in Prescott for breakfast, and then enjoyed the windy mountainous ride.

We got to our first hike, Cathedral Rock Trail, and headed UP.

And UP and UP and then I bailed while Chris kept going UP.  It was SO steep and I was a chicken.

Then we grabbed lunch in town and headed to our second hike spot, Bell Rock Climb.  Once again, there was SO MUCH GOING UP.

And once again I was a chicken while Chris kept going.

Chris is in each of these pictures. You may need to zoom in on the bottom left, he is really high up there!

It was beautiful, and we were tired and dirty when we got back!

On Wednesday I ran for 50 minutes doing intervals in altitude and with hills.  (My long run this weekend better feel easy!) And then, I spent most of the rest of the day by the pool reading and listening to podcasts while they went and golfed another round.

Later in the afternoon we enjoyed the hot tub, then went out to dinner and got ice cream.

On Thursday morning Chris and Jim left to play their third and final round of golf, and Coco and I headed up for a mountain hike.  We hiked for 2 hours, and my Fitbit registered 169 floors!  It was beautiful.

Later we did a home tour of some of the VERY ritzy homes in their area.

I clearly had no chill.

I mean...those BATHTUBS.

Then it was time for us to head to the airport and fly home.  Click here for a few silly little videos I took throughout the week!

Thanks so much to Jim and Coco for a wonderful and relaxing week!

Now we are off to participate in 2-year-old birthday party shenanigans.  Come back tomorrow for the Weekend Wrap-Up and what I can only imagine will include some stinkin' cute pictures and videos.
