Happy Birthday Luna Ray!

Luna is 2-years-old today! And it was almost exactly a year ago that we first learned about her, and adopted her shortly after.

Look at that cute face! We had a fun dinner party at Pa and G-ma’s to celebrate.

Happy birthday to our little Luna-tic!

Timehop Tuesday

Happy Tuesday! First off, does anyone remember the crazy snow storm we had 8 years ago? Here is Chris’ car completely buried in snow.

Nuts! Anyway, here are our girls at church Christmas programs:

And evidence that Maya has been wearing the same cheetah coat for three winters in a row (size 4T and she’s almost 5.5 years old)...which is also a coat I bought for Callie that she flat out refused to wear ever.

Happy Birthday Auntie Mari!!!

Guess who is 30 today?!?!?

This girl, and awesome auntie!

She’s a southerner now, down in Missouri, but we still hope that 30 is awesome!!! 🤪

Weekend Wrap-Up

Happy Sunday!

We had a nice weekend, and continued with enjoying a variety of Christmassy things!

Yesterday morning we got some (chilly) fresh air. It felt good to get outside a bit, even though it was kind of cold.

Then Auntie Cat took the girls after dance for some time at her house, and then time at G-ma and Pa’s house.

While they were gone, I had time by myself to wrap Christmas presents! It took 2 hours...!

This morning I had some “help” folding laundry.

And then we had TWO different Sunday School programs at church. (Thankfully next year they’ll both be in the same one!).

We started off with Maya’s program, where she chose to be an angel. Auntie Yoda, Uncle Craigles, and Lucy came too.

Maya chose to stand behind a few other kindergartners, but her face peeked out every once in awhile.

After the program we got cookies!

You may be thinking, “Huh, Kati and Lucy are both wearing plaid.” Yep, our matchy outfits complimented each other nicely and in a Chrissmassy way.

Then later in the afternoon, Callie had her Christmas program! She chose to be a sheep (she also chose to wear sandals with no socks, inexplicably). Boom came to the program too.

I’ll leave you with a couple days of elf shenanigans.

Have a great week!

A Picture Update

Um...sorry guys. My photo collection from the week is probably as pathetic as it has ever been.

G-ma sent me this picture of Maya yesterday, which was the first pic of my children taken all week.

But don’t worry, I took plenty of pictures of Coo-Koo and Looney!

And saved this comic from Fowl Language because it is so freaking relatable (boxed wine rules).

Today I went to Maya’s family breakfast at school. Hooray for donuts!

And while leaving work I captured this pretty sunset. Which is notable because we don’t see the sun much these days.

Tonight is a disaster of crying, screentime, wine, random dinners, playing, and counting the minutes til bedtime.

I’ll leave you with a pic that popped up on Timehop today that just made me melt and also gave me slight sleep deprivation PTSD because Baby Maya was a nightmare sleeper and we must have been SO FREAKING TIRED when we took what must have been an attempt at a Christmas card picture.

Cheers! 🍷 Have a great weekend!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Here we are in December! It’s a big month, with Auntie Mari turning THIRTY on the 10th, Luna turning TWO on the 12th, and Callie turning NINE on the 22nd. Not to mention we have a variety of Christmas programs before the actual chaos of Birthday/Christmas begins. Whew. I’m tired just thinking about it!

Yesterday morning started pretty chill with the girls discovering Coo-Koo and Looney and then raiding my closet.

Then there was dance class and a lunch out with Maya.

At lunch Maya and I played a rousing game she made up called “Mom do you think I am squinching my butt cheeks together or not?” Hilarious.

I finally cobbled together my Christmas pots around 1:15, and then by 4:15 there was so much snow!

In the late afternoon Chris took the girls to a movie while I went out to dinner and a comedy show with Laura, Hanna and Jenna. It was a fun night out!

I took Luna on a snowy walk last night when I got home. She loves running around in it (see video later).

Today after church we headed to Stillwater to see Rich, Stacey, and the kids. Luna came along for the ride and it took a couple outtakes of Luna ruining the car photo before getting a cute one. Silly Luna!

Nailed it.

It was a great time at the Junghans...hanging out, playing outside, and watching our little Luna-tic.

Luna was in heaven running around their backyard... and got totally attached to Alex! The girls had a blast with Arieanna and Annelise.

On the way home we decided to stop and get our Christmas tree. Unfortunately Chris had to be on Luna duty so he isn’t in our tree-finding picture this year.

We had fun putting it up and decorating it, as usual, and got a new star for the top!

It’s always nice to get out all my ornaments and put so many special ones on the tree.

I’ll leave you with the first two mornings of antics by our silly elves.

Have a lovely first week of Advent!
