A Picture Update: AVERY LYNNE IS HERE!!!

Hi all!! 

Firstly, I’m SO EXCITED to share that Chris and I have a new NIECE and the girls have a new COUSIN!!!

Auntie Mari and Uncle Josh welcomed Avery Lynne on Saturday 8/27 at 11:01pm. She is ADORABLE and we love getting multiple daily pictures. We even got to FaceTime in the hospital on Sunday! 

They are doing really well at home and we cannot WAIT to meet her in person! 

As for the rest of the week…Monday was Callie’s first day of 7th grade! 

And Maya hung out with Boom.

Tuesday was Maya’s first day of 4th grade!

On Wednesday I had a long day at work, and a bunch of weird photos showed up on my phone from the girls at home.

On Thursday Callie went to the beach with the Dahlen's and later Jennifer and I went out for margaritas.

Today Chris took the day off and took the Dahlen kids to a park and then to our house for lunch.  Then Mitchell and Isla had yummy cookies delivered to celebrate the first week of school!

My week was crazy.  My school moved buildings so we spent a lot of time hauling furniture around, building furniture, etc.  So here is a before and after of my new office!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Hello! We are busy with school preparations. But here are the pics from the weekend! 

Yesterday morning the girls and I went to the state fair with Boom! It was a great time!

Today we got a lot accomplished at home and rewarded ourselves with a deck dinner with Pa and Auntie Cat!

School year 2022-2023 here we gooooooooo!!!!!

A Picture Update

TGIF!  Happy Friday.  I am so tired, but made it through the first three days back to work.  Here are the pics from the week!

On Monday I finished a puzzle and the girls hung out with Auntie Cat.  Callie also used tape and nail polish to create fake nails...

On Monday night we did some snuggling.

On Tuesday the girls both had their annual check-ups and then we met Boom at Minnehaha Falls for a short hike.

Later we met the Dahlens at the beach!

I went back to work on Wednesday, and Chris had a busy day at work, so the girls spent Wednesday with Boom and Mila!

On Thursday we went to the Dahlen's house for dinner and then I FaceTimed with my mom and sisters because MARI IS HAVING HER BABY SO SOOOOOON!!!!

Today the girls hung out with Boom and went to the History museum and out to lunch!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Hey all.  We had a lovely weekend.  

On Saturday morning I had my 5 mile race!  It went much better than I expected...my goal was 50-60 minutes, and I came in (unofficially) at 49:42! I had some great cheerleaders as well.

Later I enjoyed a lunch with various drinks, the girls went to help Auntie Cat clean out all her boundary waters gear, and I napped with Luna. Sort of.

Then we got out the slip-n-slide (and added dish soap!) and had a deck dinner...just the four of us.

This morning was another beautiful day, so we met Pa, Auntie Hanna, Uncle Dan, Mitchell and Isla at Centennial Lakes for a walk and lunch!

And this afternoon we met Boom, Auntie Yoda, Uncle Craigles, Lucy and Mila at the beach.

And then went back to Yoda and Craigles' house for dinner and birthday cake..Craig's birthday is tomorrow!  

Happy (early) Birthday Uncle Craigles!  We hope you have a fantastic day (tomorrow).

Summer Update: Week 10

Well guys, here we are.  The final (full) week of summer vacation (for me) is over.  The girls have one more full week, but I go back on Wednesday.  We have a busy Monday and Tuesday with getting in the last appointments and errands.  But hopefully we'll get in one last paddle board beach outing before Wednesday.  That's my goal!  

Anyway...here are highlights from the week.

On Monday morning Callie woke up and created a big scavenger hunt for Maya.  And I chose a coffee mug VERY intentionally.  Even though it was cool and cloudy, we decided to head to the beach for a paddle.

While the girls and Chris were at Lunds on Sunday night, they conned him into getting ice cream AND ice cream cones...like the daily ones we got at camp!

On Tuesday we met the Dahlen's at the pool for one final afternoon/evening.  We stayed until 7pm closing time.

On Wednesday morning the girls and I were busy shopping for school clothes.  I went in to work for a few meetings and then met a friend for an early afternoon happy hour.  

Yesterday we met Boom at the MIA! Maya was given a scavenger hunt to do and found dancing sculptures, so she and Boom replicated them.  Ha!

We spent a quiet evening at home.  Callie made a smoothie, Luna watched the rain, and Maya took a selfie with me.

This morning there was a beautiful double rainbow on my my morning walk with Luna.  I couldn't stop taking pictures of it.

The girls did some cleaning and chores and then headed to Boom's house for another sleepover.

I saw a rainbow again tonight while at happy hour with  Jenna!
