Yesterday afternoon we headed to Orchestra Hall for a chamber music concert. One of the pieces was commissioned in memory of my dad. My parents’ friend Holly wrote a poem about him a few years ago, and then buried a composer to set it to music. It was one of the featured pieces of the concert yesterday and it was beautiful.
After the concert we were invited to a small reception with some of the musicians and they set out some photos and articles from the time my dad helped the Orchestra with the lockout back in 2012. It was very special, and a wonderful tribute to him.
Today the girls and Chris finally got to meet Carter!!!! We had a big family gathering, including Uncle Larry and Aunt Mary! The kids all played and I got some good baby snuggles.
It has happy chaos!
