2022 Wrap-Up

Hi all!  It occurred to me that in the past I have done a year wrap-up at the end of each year.  I couldn't remember much, so I went back and checked out the past 5 or 6 years' end of December posts.  And yes, I usually do something!  So...I went back through each month and chose 9 of my fave photos...usually I looked for cute ones of the the girls, Luna, cousins, friends, and family photos.  I also tried to find a pretty nature shot for each month as well.  So...here goes!  2022 in Review!

A Picture Update

Happy Friday!  This crazy in-between week actually flew by.

On Monday we went over to Boom's to do art and make soup for dinner.

Tuesday morning was pretty lazy.  The girls let Luna up on the bed in the morning, and then when Chris was working on the bed, he didn't let Luna up so he got to look at her staring him down.

Then we got a visit from Avery and Auntie Mari!!!!!!!!

This baby has such an expressive and adorable face.

We had lots of fun playing before they headed back to Denver.

The rest of the week was kind of a blur.  Auntie Cat took the girls to Target to spend their gift cards.

The sky was pretty.  I got a lunch-time margarita.  We went to the library.

We went to the zoo with Boom and Mila.

And tonight I made green curry!

Click here for some videos from the past couple weeks.

Have a great weekend and Happy New Year!

Weekend Wrap-Up: The Merry Christmas Edition!

Hello all! Merry Christmas!

We had a busy, fun and exhausting weekend of all the Christmas festivities.

On Christmas Eve Morning, the girls opened their presents from us.  Highlights were the Harry Potter book set (Maya), a portable easel (Callie) and a mini sweater (Luna)...just kidding she hates it.

We spent a chunk of the day preparing food for the weekend, and the girls did a lot of art! Chris and the girls played video games for awhile too.

We went to 4pm church to see Boom play the flute.  The downtown buildings were festive on the way to Boom's house after church.

We made sure to get a cousin picture before all the present chaos started!

And it was crazy!

Boom made an awesome dinner and Avery was a little unsure of all the commotion.

That night...SANTA CAME!

The girls were awake early and came down to see their Santa loot around 7:20am.

We headed for Gosselin Christmas right away and had an awesome breakfast.

Then we did a round of presents.  More chaos!

We took a break and played some games that the girls got from Santa.

Then...it was time for Auntie Hanna's famous MONKEY BREAD!

And the monkey bread fueled absolutely chaotic cardboard house coloring/destroying.

Then it was time for round 2 of presents!

Before the little ones went down for naps, there was some more play time...and then lunch and celebrating Cal's birthday.

WHEW!  What a weekend!  We spent the rest of the evening in our bed...playing Poop Bingo (thanks Boom!) and watching The Simpsons.

Take care and hope you all had a very merry Christmas!

A Picture Update

Happy Friday!  The girls and I are officially on winter break, and it is FREEZING COLD outside.

On Monday Maya lost a tooth at school, and on Tuesday I got this sticker as a gift from a co-worker.  I love quiet time, and everyone knows it.

Wednesday was our first day of break.  We lazed around, I walked Luna (it was 2 degrees at that point) and the girls made the Gingerbread Beach House.

Thursday was TEENAGE BIRTHDAY DAY!

She had her presents opened by 8:30am.

And G-ma and Auntie Cat stopped by for a bit in the morning.  Chris shoveled and it was NEGATIVE 9 DEGREES.

We got her a gift card and a consult for make-up!

And then we went to see The Grinch.  It was delightful.

Then we headed downtown for a family dinner!  And Uncle Josh, Auntie Mari and Avery are in town for the holidays!  Yay!

We played games (Chris and I held a baby) and got Cal's fave Punch Pizza for dinner.

Then it was time for more presents.

And mint ice cream Oreo pie!

Overall it was a busy and exhausting day!  I was asleep by 8:30pm.

So today was VERY low key...at one point we were all relaxing on our bed. And Pa came to take the girls out shopping and play games.

Then we got together with some of the Johnson cousins tonight! It was pure joyful chaos.

And finally…the elf shenanigans for the week!

Have a Merry Christmas!!
