I'm amazed with how fast weekends go. I mean, I guess it makes sense seeing they are only 2 days long, but for real! They fly by!
Let's start (pre-weekend) with Thursday night- Grandpa's birthday! Yum...Carrot Cake!
We took it easy on Friday night, which was lovely. Then on Saturday we headed to the condo and went to the Farmer's Market down below their place. And the
purple jacket had to return...it was 45 degrees out. At least we got to wave to MorMor!
On Saturday night we went to our former neighbor's house for a party so Callie and Wes got to hang out.
The sun FINALLY came out today, Sunday! I got into a serious spring cleaning/de-cluttering mode. I'm not sure what came over me, but I was all about it...and still am. I think it is because the summer is rapidly approaching (yay!!!!) and I REALLY want our house to be more pleasant to live in. So we have plans to do some organizing and updating in the next few weeks. I'll keep you posted.
Anyhow, we're the only house on the block that has an INFESTATION of dandelions, so Chris started to attack them this morning. With a little help.
Then Andy, Beth, Donald and Sasha came over for lunch and a trip to the park!
This afternoon Chris and I went to Ikea (see above comments about attempting to organize...storage bins were definitely purchased) so Cathleen babysat!
Then, while Daddy went to play softball, Callie and I joined Cathleen with her Spanish class dinner. It was SO fun...an hour for speaking mostly Spanish. I have to admit, it went better than I expected! My high school Spanish started coming back to me. And working at a school with mostly ELL students for the past 5 years seemed to help too.
This upcoming week is the last full 5-day week of the school year. My anticipation for summer is beyond ridiculous, even though I do love my job. I am so thankful to have the teacher schedule!!!
