Favorite-Things-Phone-Dump Friday

Seriously.

Callie: The girl has been waking up EARLY the past couple of weeks.  So this week we decided to push back her bedtime to 8pm in hopes that we will stop getting the little 6am knock-knock-knock on our door.  Ordinarily the little hand knock would be adorable, but at 6am it is not.  Especially when it is followed by a little energetic tornado entering the room that refuses to cuddle in our bed and only wants to bounce around. The results have been mixed, but last night I taught her that she needs to wait until the first number on her clock is a 7. I put a princes sticker right next to the number and everything.  It worked this morning...we'll see if it continues.

Maya: The girl loves to eat.  Fruits.  Vegetables.  Toast.  Cheese.  Gnocchi.  Quinoa.  Literally ANYTHING we give her.  It is crazy.  And I love to watch her eat because it is adorably hilarious. 

So Favorite Thing #1?  1 minute and 15 seconds of Maya eating.

The other thing about Maya is that she still doesn't have much interest in moving around.  She is still content siting and playing.  But tonight I put her on her tummy with some toys just out of her reach, and she actually kinda sorta looked like she might be starting to want to move.

Favorite Thing #2: 1 minute and 19 seconds of babbling and tummy time.

As for my other favorite things...it boils down to the girls this week.

Favorite Thing #3: This CRAZY girl. 
Sometimes she has so much energy she has to run laps around our kitchen.
Other times she is calm enough to sit and play.
Her fashion sense is always, um, unique.
And she LOVES being outside.

Favorite Thing #4: This SILLY baby.
She eats vegetables.
Her cheeks go on for days.
She plays like a boss.
She also LOVES being outside.

Favorite Thing #5: This CRAZY/SILLY dog.
She is so patient.
She is so resilient.
She can be so so naughty.

We were reminded yesterday, once again, that Callie is not in any way a natural performer.  She had her preschool spring concert last night, and she did not enjoy being up in front of everyone.  She pretty much hated it.  She put her head down pretty much the entire time.  It was kind of hilarious.  But Maya was excited to watch all the kids.

Favorite Thing #6: Watching our girl stare at the bleachers during the 20 minute concert.

After we got home, though, she was happy to sing me her favorite song from the concert.  Until something kind of silly happened. 

Favorite Thing #7: Her singing.

My dad took some pictures at the concert too, but I haven't seen them yet. If there are any other good ones that don't include the top of her head, I'll be sure to share them with you on Sunday.
