Hi all! It’s Friday, and more importantly, WINTER BREAK!!! We made it! We have a very busy week ahead of us, but busy in lots of fun ways. Here are our pics from the week: animals, a band concert, Christmas party at Nana’s Ugly Sweater day (check out our DIY wreath sweaters!), and our dance teacher helping in the holiday dance show.

Callie helped out with the holiday dance show tonight, so I had to dig back and find her first show as a kindergartener!

We had a busy weekend that has resulted in my current state of lying in bed heat-packing my back…but so it goes!
Yesterday Maya and I met Boom at the American Swedish Institute for a fun morning exploring the mansion!
It was decorated with such festive things! Maya went home with Boom to sleep over, so I went home and got the cookie making process started. Callie was at a friend’s house too, so Chris and I had some time to order in our favorite Indian food and watch a couple shows. I also had to have some “gerbil time” since their primary caretaker was not home!
This morning I enjoyed the twinkle lights of the season, while later Luna was needy and the sky was pretty.
After church, there was a lot more Christmas cookie making.
But one was not so successful…the instagram recipe I found (on the left) and my attempt (on the right) 🤣🤣🤣.
And I was in charge of making my favorite family recipe this year…the wreaths! Grammy’s recipe!
We have a very busy weekend ahead…and then it will be winter break…with another very week to come!!

Well, in my muddled brain state of the holiday season as a 43yo mom and teacher, I totally missed Luna’s birthday yesterday. She’s 9!!!!
The has the cutest face and naughtiest demeanor. But we love her!
Hey all! Happy Sunday! We had a pretty productive weekend, and got in some fun stuff too.
On Friday night Callie joined Alex’s family at a Christmas Light display and his mom sent me this cute photo:
On Saturday, Maya and I met Boom, Auntie Yoda, Lucy and Mila at the Dayton’s Christmas Market.
Later Maya hung out with her BFF and Luna stared at me in my personal bubble.
Today was productive with getting this done around the house this morning. Callie did some pink hair dying and Auntie Hanna, Mitchell and Isla came over.
And of course there was some gerbil time.
