Weekend Wrap-Up

Hello!  Happy Sunday!  We had another fun and summery weekend.  Yesterday G-ma and Pa took the girls to another donut shop and then they played outside.

Then I joined the girls and G-ma at the beach for a little lunch and some lake time.  It was a BEAUTIFUL day to be at the lake.



Then later we played games with G-ma, Pa, Auntie Cat and Auntie Hanna while Chris and Uncle Dan played golf.



Today we went to Como Zoo and Conservatory: animals, rides, flowers...it was lovely.

This afternoon we took it easy, did some cleaning, and survived until bedtime.  Have a great week!

A Picture Update: Summer Week 4

Oh my goodness somehow we are already one month into summer.  This was another busy week!

Callie didn't have theater camp this week, but we went in on Monday to help with props and costumes. G-ma is doing some sewing for the show too!  This is Callie in her character Violet's hat, as well as in the Humpty Dumpty egg, which we attached the straps to. We also painted his brick wall!

On Monday afternoon we went to see Boom and Lucy, and Boom brought back Mizzou shirts for the girls from when she visited Mari. The tiger tails on the back are AMAZING.





There were crazy thunderstorms on Monday night, and Luna and I encountered what may have been a lightning strike on our walk earlyTuesday morning.  We spent time outside and beat the heat by washing my car.

Then we went to Sylvia's swimming birthday party!



On Wednesday we went to the Rainbow Play Place.

And played with our crazy doggie.



Yesterday, the 4th, we had a lunch BBQ over at Boom's. 

After lunch we went for a walk and Chris took the girls on one of the scooters that are all around everywhere these days.



Callie stayed there for a sleepover so we had Maya all to ourselves!  She used beads to make the flag, and then did Snapchat with her Daddy.

Callie and Boom had a blast being artistic, watching a movie, hanging with Iris, and playing Scrabble!

Last night Boom woke Callie up for a bit to see fireworks, and then more fun this morning.

This morning I went for a run and saw some lovely sunrays.

Today we met Boom and Auntie Cat for a picnic lunch and then a paddle boat ride.

Happy Independence Day!

This is our 10th Fourth of July without seeing fireworks because...CHILDREN (and also we don't really like crowds or late bedtimes because we are old.  Or at least that is me).

But gosh do I love looking back at all our past Fourth of July pictures: 2010-2018!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Happy Sunday!  We had a pretty chill weekend. The girls hung out yesterday morning before Lucy was picked up.

Then we went to the farmer’s market and got delicious lemonade. It was HOT. Callie loves to be a monkey and will climb a tree if she finds one climbable.



And here’s a high maintenance doggy face just for fun.

This morning we went to Dave and Busters for a bit.

And then it STORMED.



In between the weird weather systems we walked to the library. The clouds were pretty cool.



And then we made a "beach" treat.



The Lynx played this afternoon so we watched the game and Luna smushed me and Maya.


G-ma and Pa came over for a spaghetti dinner and also to to shopping at Maya’s store, apparently.
