Weekend Wrap-Up: Dan and Hanna’s Wedding!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi everybody! We had just the most fantastic lovely and magical weekend celebration of Dan and Hanna’s wedding. It was a rainy day but it didn’t dampen our spirits or the fun. We. Had. A. BLAST.

I’m sure there will be many more posts of pictures because I haven’t gotten anyone else’s yet, but here are the ones that I got that I hope convey how lovely a time we had!

I picked up the bride at 8am and we headed to the salon for hair and makeup!

Cathleen brought Callie to the salon a little later for her fancy updo!

We had fun getting fancy, and Hanna had fun doing some makeup too.

We got to the venue (Historic Concord Exchange) and there was lots of people working to get everything ready!  We got ourselves ready and then got to see Hanna get into her beautiful dress!

After the first look and some other pictures around the building, we headed out for more pictures...the rain didn't stop us!

Hanna's sisters surprised her with a trolley as our transportation to the picture site.  It was near railroad tracks, so the kids were happy and entertained watching the trains!

The ceremony started at 5pm!  I can't wait to see the professional pictures because the venue was absolutely beautiful and the ceremony was lovely, personal, and special.

After the ceremony was a cocktail hour!

Hanna's nephew, Bronco, LOVED hanging out with the girls- especially Maya.  And it is always good when the tall Henderson girls get to see Hanna!

Then there was dinner and speeches.  They were pretty epic (and maybe video proof coming at a later time...my husband pulled some shenanigans).

Did I mention Bronco loves the girls?  They love him too.  And Callie is a good little "babysitter" for him.

After dinner the girls got to get a caricature of themselves!  They sat still and smiled and it turned out so cute.

The dancing started and the dance floor was pretty busy all night.  Callie had a blast and got to stay up until 10pm!

There was a dollar dance and Jenna and Andy showed up to crash the wedding too!

The evening went late!  There may have been some shots.  And the oldest of the Gosselin cousin marrieds (Chris and I and Simone and Tyler) lasted longer than any of the other cousins. Hee hee!

We got a nice Henderson family picture.  I can't wait to see the professional pictures of the Gosselin family!

And of course we had to get our little Gosselin clan all dressed up and fancy.

This is one of my favorite pictures from the night because it shows how much fun Dan and Hanna were having!  Soon after they were lifted up on the chairs, there were a couple rows of wedding guests holding hands and dancing around them.

So that about does it for now.  I'm sure that I'll do more posts once more pictures roll in.  I'm so very grateful for our wonderful family, and that we can now officially call her Auntie Hanna!

A Picture Update: SUMMER BREAK!

It is finally summer break!!!!!

Here’s the week in pictures!

Monday: Maya hung out with Lucy and Boom.

Tuesday: I got a Tiffany necklace as a gift from a student and Cal got the Superintendent’s Academic Award. So we got pie.

Wednesday: G-ma and Maya went to Callie’s school for her end of year party.

Thursday: Callie’s last day of 2nd grade!

Thursday night: Dan and Hanna’s rehearsal and Groom’s Dinner!

Today: Last day of work!!

We have a very exciting wedding weekend ahead... so come back Sunday for some fun pictures!

Weekend Wrap-Up

It’s. Almost. Summer. Vacation.

This weekend was pretty relaxed, which is good because the next week is going to be coo-coo-bananas-crazy-town.

These are the only pictures I took yesterday:

There was some downtown time and play outside time (including kickball with our neighbor Neal!).

Today the girls and I went to get pedicures so we can have pretty toes.

We watched the Lynx game (cuddled up on our bed) and it did not go well. Our team is struggling this season...but I have faith that they’ll figure it out!

Then we had to play outside a little. Chris took Callie to hit golf balls.

And Maya was inspired to play basketball. At one point after she made a basket she yelled “I’m like Maya Moore!” I love that the girls have such strong athlete role models to look up to.

This is the last week of school for me and Cal. This is the last week of usual day care for Maya at Boom’s, G-ma and Pa’s houses. That means 8.5 years of grandparent child care is coming to an end. We have been so unbelievably lucky that our girls have been taken care of by some of the people who love them most. I will forever be grateful for that. ❤️❤️❤️

This is also the week leading up to DAN AND HANNA’S WEDDING!!!! We have the rehearsal and groom’s dinner on Thursday (also the last day of school!) and then the wedding on Saturday. It is going to be amazing and we are all so excited! It is also the first wedding that all four of us are in: Chris is a groomsman, I’m a bridesmaid, and the girls are flower girls. Look forward to some fancy family photos! And beautiful wedding photos! I know I am!

A Picture Update: Happy Birthday Dad

My dad would have been 63 today. 

I’m grateful that he is my dad every day. And I miss him every day.

As for our week, Maya and I had some time together during Callie’s dance class. I took this pic after she tooted really loud in the quiet eating area of the co-op.

We both couldn’t stop giggling!

We hung out with some Junghans cousins on Thursday evening at G-ma and Pa’s house.

I got an “award” at work from a couple of my co-workers, which explains my school year in a nutshell.

Maya spent today with Boom and they had a great time.

Tonight I went to the Lynx game with my mom and we had a fun night (and got to see Lucy and Yoda beforehand!)

Four more days of the school year, guys. Plus a work day. A week from now it will be summer vacation. I can’t believe it. And I can’t wait.

Hair and Humidity

Hi guys.

This is just a random post to say I feel like my hair looks like this so I took a selfie.

My children did not get my weird curly hair. Theirs is thick and straight and lovely.

But the SNARLS, you guys. And the HAIR BRUSHING RESISTANCE. 

You can bet your bottom dollar that our first week of summer we will all be getting fairly significant haircuts. 

After Dan and Hanna’s wedding, of course, which is in 9 DAYS!!!!!! Can’t wait!!!!
