Winter Break Happenings
Besides the birthday and Christmas activities, we've managed to do some other fun things over break.

Doctor's Check-up
Callie had her 2-year doctor's check-up this morning. She did great...even impressing the doctor by saying "I want my Elmo book" right at the same time the doctor was asking us about how many words she knows. Words schmords! She's talking in sentences!
Here are her stats:
Weight: 26 pounds 10 ounces (49.71%ile)
Height: 2 pounds 10 inches (55.19%ile)
Head Circumference: 19.88 inches (holding steady at 98.59%ile)
She had to get a finger prick so they could do a lead test, and she didn't even flinch. Didn't even make a peep. She was a champ.
But we were told that the passy has to go..sometime in the near future. Sigh. I love the passy. It is something still baby-ish about my increasingly independent toddler.
But more than I love the passy, I hate the thought of going through the actual process of getting RID of the passy. Fun times to come I'm sure...

Weekend Wrap-Up: The Christmas Edition
Ever since Thursday, the big birthday, things have not slowed down. Not one bit. So here is a rundown of our Crazy Awesome Christmas Weekend. And, just an FYI, I can't promise complete or coherent sentences because I'm uber tired.
Friday:
Auntie time with Yoda and Wadi. Bridal shower for Ellen Suurmeyer. Fun evening with the Suurmeyers at their weekend rental house.
Saturday- Christmas Eve Day:
Fun at the condo. Church. Yummy dinner. Presents. Christmas Cookies.
Sunday- Christmas Day:
Santa came! Train set! Fun, brunch and presents at Grandma and Grandpa's (with Sydney too!). Family time at Nana and Papa's house. Family time at condo.
Sunday night:
Toddler asleep before 8pm. Mommy and Daddy exhausted but happy from toddler wrangling and days on the run. Thankful for how easy it is to (and how much we like to) spend so much time with our families.

I'm at a loss for what to say, besides we have been so unbelievably blessed to have such an amazing little one in our lives for the past 2 years.
