We told Dan last night! The boys had softball and didn't get home til about 10:30pm. I was already in bed, but Chris texted me when they were close and I came down stairs. We didn't use Kona's shirt...Dan had been over to our house this weekend while I was napping on the couch. So Chris said "There's a reason Kati was so tired over the weekend." And then we both just kind of smiled at him and Chris said something about having a baby. Dan was excited for us. :)

Now all our immediate family knows. Now I'm off to run this morning. Tired, because of being up later than usual, so thankfully tomorrow is Friday!

This is a test for all of my blog "followers" (all 3 of them right now!) to see if they get notifications of my new blog entry. Did it work?

Feeling good. Tired. Eating lots of crackers and other snacky stuff at work. No puking yet. :)

Took another test yesterday. A different brand. Still pregnant. :) I'll probably want to do that weekly until my doctor's appointment on June 2nd. Haha.

I ran 3 miles this morning and hope I can continue running for awhile. Nothing hard core, and nothing past 3 miles. I did some research on the internet and the consensus seems to be that since I was a runner before, it is okay to continue running for awhile. As long as I wear layers and don't overheat. And drink plenty of water. And eat enough to make up for the calories burned. Done and done.

We went over to the Gosselin's to share the news tonight with Bob, Mary and Cathleen. Kona did a good job wearing the "Big Sister" shirt again! They were very excited for us, and happened to have sparkling apple juice for a toast! Now we just need to tell Dan, and wait about 6 weeks to tell everyone else.

On the car ride home Chris and I both agreed that it has been a great weekend, but it has seemed SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO long. When there is such great news to share but we can't share it with everyone we want to, time seems to move slow! Thankfully we have a busy couple of weeks ahead, and hopefully time will fly!

The exhaustion has definitely set in. I was wiped out yesterday after running a 5K and took 2 naps. And today I slept while Chris was watching T.V. for an hour or so. It seemed like I could have slept forever!

And so it begins... :)

Sharing the News...

We told my parents and sisters today. I was really nervous and excited. I have thought about this for a while now, and I can't believe that we were actually able to do it today. I took one of my old tank tops and wrote "Big Sister" on it and put it on Kona.




So she walked into my parents' house and they were kind of confused, thinking maybe we had gotten a new puppy or something. When we told them it was going to be a baby, they were shocked, excited, and of course my mom cried! I then called my sisters who were also both very excited and Laura cried! We will tell the Gosselins tomorrow.



The hard part now is going to be waiting to tell our friends and other family members. But we want to wait another 6 weeks or so.

It happened!!!!!!!

Kona woke me up early on my birthday morning (yesterday) after Chris had left for basketball.

I decided to take a pregnancy test...and...BAM!!! 2 lines!!! 2 lines = pregnant!!!

I freaked out by myself for 1 1/2 hours while I waited for Chris to get home. As soon as he got home, I showed it to him and then had to leave for work, so we both had to let the exciting news sink in on our own!

I got to work and couldn't function, and went out to buy another test brand, took the test...and...BAM!!! Plus sign!!! Plus sign = pregnant!!! Here are the 2 tests. :)







So I called and got my doctor's appointment set up for next month.

Right now I'm 4 weeks and 3 days along.

My estimated due date (via an online due date calculator) is December 30, 2009.
