Weekend Wrap-Up

Happy Sunday! It was a beautiful weekend here. We did the best we could to enjoy the sunshine and glorious temperatures. On Saturday morning I caught some sunrays during my run. 

While Cal was at dance, Maya and I walked to the library. 

We are getting our backyard finished up by professionals this month, so Luna enjoyed watching him out the window. Then we enjoyed outside time.


And we had our first DECK DINNER of the season!!!!!!!!! There was also some crazy yard games and softball. 

This morning our front tree was finally in full bloom and the girls enjoyed playing together doing “photo shoots” that apparently included cartwheels.

While Maya was at gymnastics, Cal and I walked to the library and then enjoyed some porch reading time.

Tonight we went to see the “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” musical at Children’s Theater. It was a riot! Only Maya and I got a picture because Chris and Cal decided to go get candy instead.

A Picture Update

Hi all! Happy Lovely Friday!  

Here are the pics from the week (there aren’t too many):

There was a beautiful 6:30am sky earlier this week.

And then some severe weather on Wednesday night where we had to spend some time in the basement after bedtime but also watched it a bit (after the sirens turned off)!

Callie had a theater cast party at school where they watched the video of their Spongebob show and awards were given out. She won an award for Best Ensemble with her fellow sardines! And Maya and I enjoyed time on the deck.

Yay it’s Pa’s birthday today!

Glad we could celebrate with a cool treat on this 90 degree day (even though one of us was very distracted by melting ice cream)!

A Mother’s Day timehop. The girls have just gotten so big the past couple of years! It is so crazy!

Weekend Wrap-Up: Happy Mother’s Day!

Somehow it is Sunday night already! 

First up…HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY to all the wonderful women in our world. We are so lucky to be surrounded by amazing ladies. ❤️

Yesterday was a lovely, sunny, very chill day. Circumstances allowed me to have a few hours at home alone, so I started one of my new birthday puzzles and sat out on the porch! And those were the only pictures I got. 

This morning Maya brought in a toasted bagel she made for me all by herself. After my yoga and a treadmill run, I enjoyed my breakfast and tried to get the girls to take a couch picture…

We headed over to Boom’s for Mother’s Day brunch with her and Great Margie! Maya took our picture, and also managed to get a pic of our legs too…ha! On the way home we saw a few different dinosaurs on lawns. 

This afternoon we headed over for Mother’s Day dinner at Uncle Dan and Auntie Hanna’s with the whole crew!

And chaos ensued, as per usual! 


All in all it was a lovely, busy day. And the girls cooperated for ONE picture outside.
