After the election I found I needed something to do to keep my hands busy (instead of doomscrolling on my phone).
So I decided to try my hand(s) at cross-stitching! 🪡
My first two projects were kits I got at Michael’s.

Then I decided that I should keep going and make all my nieces and nephews a little something for Christmas. I started with Avery and ended with Carter…funny to think he wasn’t born yet when I started! The two Colorado babies…mountains for Avery and a boat on a lake for Carter.

Then came Lucy and Mila…the nieces who love treats!

Finally, Mitchell and Isla! Isla loves “mingos” and Mitchell loves dinos.

Then…I kept going. Christmas gifts for family too! Gardens for Mary, fishing for Chris, gratitude for my mom and Minnesota love for Mari and Josh.

And then there was canoe guiding for Cat, lake life for Pa and Max, Laura and Craig’s cool house, and wine for Dan and Hanna!

Finally, I did my girls: a colorful name for Cal and Maya’s request of “Luna eating a taco.”

Thanks to the internet for helping get ideas (the amount I have googled things like “taco cross stitch” is insane) and audiobooks and podcasts for keeping my mind engaged while my hands were busy.
I now have a thread organizer and some empty hoops, so we’ll see what this new year brings!
