Weekend Wrap-Up
Happy Sunday! Not sure how the weekend went by so quickly, but here we are. As you probably know, I run almost every morning, and usually it is VERY early and very dark out. But yesterday morning I made myself wait and went at 7am so I could catch the sunrise at various points of the 4 miles. Mother Nature did not disappoint!

Chris set up a couple pampering appointments…one was a full body massage for me, and one was mani/pedi appointments for me and the girls. It was a nice relaxing day!

We also went to the library for the first time in a LONG time and the girls were very excited for new books.

I tried a new hard cider with dinner that night…and then the next morning went on a chilly walk with Luna and observed the chaos in our living room.

We then did more official Christmas decorating!

We went to Bachman’s to find some things for our front pots…and the girls could not believe how bit this wreath was.

This year’s pots are a bit of a wild ride, but I love them…and then I adjusted them a few more times today.

The girls and I met Boom at Richardson Nature Center for a chilly hike.

Pa came over tonight for dinner and to help hang a new coat hanger by our front door. And then Maya and I read Christmas books before bed (and Luna too!).

Have a good week!

While on the hike, I picked up a few birch branches (which I avoided buying at Bachman’s for $10 each!) and continued working on the pots. Ultimately, I ditched the sparkly bows.

A Picture Update
Happy Thanksgiving week! Whew! The start of the holiday season has begun. Here are the pics:
Wednesday: A day off for Thanksgiving crafts and haircuts!
And the park too!
Thursday: Thanksgiving! Maya spent the morning helping Pa do some cooking, while I made the old broccoli corn casserole standard.
G-ma, Pa, Uncle Dan, Auntie Hanna, Mitchell, Isla, and Auntie Cat (via FaceTime because she was sick) all joined us for our Thanksgiving festivities. The turkey headbands were a hit!
Our potluck Thanksgiving lunch was delicious!
And then we celebrated Mitchell's birthday!
He got a pop-up firetruck tent, which FIVE people eventually ended up in.
Callie created the game "Pin the Horn on the Narwhal" and we played that next!
And then...G-MA's PIE!
Even Isla got a little whipped cream.
After all the festivities, Chris and I got out on a little walk and then we watched the parade.
The girls still had SO MUCH ENERGY after dinner, so we went out for a chilly walk/run/ninja/scooter.
Friday: Day-after-Thanksgiving brunch at Boom's with Boom, Auntie Yoda, Uncle Craigles, Lucy and Mila!
Tonight the girls started getting out our Christmas stuff and did their own arrangements. We aren’t getting our tree until next weekend, but I figured, why not?
Have a great weekend!

Weekend Wrap-Up
Another low-key weekend is in the books!

Maya wore purple boots on the iPad and then while the girls went to Boom’s house and the Mill City Museum, I got Chris and Luna out for a walk.

This morning I did a bunch of cleaning and the girls held a business meeting as boss and co-boss of T-Mobile with a couple of furry assistants. They discussed the stock market crashing, the fact they need to “sell more”, and some graphs “from 2009.”

Who knows where they hear this things, but it was hilarious!

Have a good Thanksgiving week!
Chris continues to move around slowly but is healing.
Had another good run yesterday morning with another newly released album…this time Adele!

Maya had her last gymnastics class of fall session and got a ribbon. She loves it so we registered her for winter session starting next week! Then Luna’s cute face worked to let her up on the couch for snuggling during Survivor.
Have a good Thanksgiving week!

A Picture Update
Happy Freaking Friday! Today was quite the week...but I'm grateful that Chris' surgery went well and he is now recovering. On to the pics...
Tuesday: I stayed home to take care of Chris and get the girls to and from school. We had sitting time in the living room and also afternoon nap time...
Then on Tuesday evening Callie and I went to a meeting at her school for the MUSICAL! She starts rehearsals in a couple of week and it will be SO fun to see how the process goes for her.
Some more crazy time from Tuesday and Wednesday:
And Thursday/Friday:
CCNP FRIDAY- here are some Callie pics from the sunrise this morning!
Have a great weekend.

Weekend Wrap-Up
Happy Sunday everyone! It has been a very low key weekend for us. Yesterday morning I did an amazing 4 mile run, thanks to Taylor’s new version of the Red album! Callie told me Taylor Swift is “old mom music”, but that’s fine. I had the best run I’ve had in over a month!

Maya got a new book and spent the morning reading it out loud to me! Luna got in on the action as well.

Later we were just hanging out, watching the snow, and listening to Christmas music. And Luna enjoyed SNAPCHAT as well, apparently.

This morning’s run/walk was definitely a bit snowy!

The girls played over with the neighbor boys a big chunk of the day. I went to Lakewood and then to church for a concert- Tony Ross and Burt Hara- two of my dad’s favorite orchestra musicians. My mom sponsored the concert and lead a pre-concert conversation. It was an emotional afternoon.

Please send positive vibes to Chris tomorrow morning…he is having hernia surgery. Prayers for a speedy recovery are welcome!

I’ll leave you with Maya’s reenactment of a truck trailer commercial that she re-enacts every time we watch anything on Hulu…
Take care and have a great week.
