Weekend Wrap-Up

Happy Sunday!  The weekend flew by, even though we spent a lot of time at home just putzing around.  

Our big outing yesterday was going to Auntie Yoda and Uncle Craigles' house to hang out with them, Lucy, Mila and Boom!

Today Luna helped me do a sprint workout and the girls played with the neighbor boys in our new (bigger) pool.

Lastly, we went to our goddaughter Christine's graduation party this evening!  She was the flower girl at our wedding we she was 2 years old, so I was feeling pretty old going to her grad party! They also had pictures from our wedding in some of the photo displays...so I had to get pics of some of them, obviously.

A Picture Update: Summer ‘21 Week 2

Summer Week 2 was a busy one!  The girls had VBS in the mornings on Monday-Thursday and we found plenty to do in the afternoons!  Here is a look at the pics I got this week

Monday: the first day of VBS!

While they were at VBS, I took advantage of the beautiful cool weather to go on a run near church. Lakewood and Lake Harriet being nearby made it easy.

The 2nd grade teachers planned a 2nd grade get-together lunch picnic at Logan Park! Maya and I went and she had fun playing and swinging.

Then we played outside!

And the girls went to Auntie Cat's to help her wash her canoe and other camping stuff.

Tuesday: Boom and I walked around the Rose Garden and Harriet while the girls were at VBS (and went to a park after they were done).

Then we went to Lebanon Hills area to the beach with the Helds!  It had been about 10 months since they saw each other in person.  They were all VERY excited.

Wednesday: after VBS the girls and I went to the zoo!

Then we made a waterslide with our swingset slide.

Thursday: I went back up to the Rose Garden while the girls had their last morning at VBS.

Friday: the girls got to hang out with Mila at Boom's house!

G-ma helped me pick out new flowers for my pots.  The one I potted looks like a purple tornado...and the one that G-ma potted looks lovely and organized. :)

I finished up my 2nd (of 3) birthday puzzles today. Also, I want to go and sit in one of those chairs on the beach ASAP!

Had ate dinner on the Lunds patio tonight and it was so beautiful! A perfect summer evening.

Timehop Tuesday

Today we have beach swimming with the Held kids!

Weekend Wrap-Up: The Happy Father’s Day Edition!

Hi Everyone.  Happy Sunday.  And Happy Father's Day to all those amazing dad's out there.  We got to spend time with these three awesome dads tonight and I'm grateful.

I also spent a lot of time today being grateful (and sad) thinking about my amazing dad.  

On to the rest of the weekend...on Saturday morning I went for a run with my favorite running buddy, and we just had some relaxing time at home.  Callie baked apple cinnamon muffins almost completely on her own!

Then, it was DANCE RECITAL TIME!  Here are the professional pictures we got of their three dances: I'm a Believer, Irish Eyes (for Nana!), and We Are the Stars.

It was at the same beautiful outdoor venue as last year, and I had the dance buttons on my purse to prove I'm totally a dance mom.

This morning we spent time cleaning!  Chris got to sleep in to dulcet tones of tired girls losing their minds about having to clean their rooms.  Fun times!  But later there was wrestling with Luna on the bed and sunshine peeking through the windows on a rainy day.

Tonight we had G-ma, Pa, Auntie Cat, Uncle Dan, Auntie Hanna, Mitchell and Isla over for TACOS and TRIFLE!

A Picture Update: Summer ‘21 Week 1

Happy Friday!  Week 1 of summer is already over!  So crazy.  

On Monday the girls and I spent most of the morning at the beach!

Auntie Hanna and Isla stopped by for a late lunch and Luna was unloved, as usual.

The girls spent the day with Boom on Tuesday and did all kinds of fun things, also as usual!

Then later Pa came over to watch Lego Masters and spend some time outside.

I took the girls to the park on Wednesday morning, and they may have spent more time sitting with me on the bench than actually playing at the park...

And I met Jenna and Bethany for a long lunch!

Later we got the pool out and Luna was cute.

On Thursday morning the girls played outside and I did my puzzle. 

And then we had dance recital dress rehearsal.  IT was HOT!

Today we watched Mitchell and Isla!  It was a very busy and fun day.

And then later Callie was in the first half of the Friday night dance recital so Maya and I went to watch.  We left at intermission because it was SO HOT and she wasn't in any numbers in the second half besides the finally at the very end, which wasn't a big deal to miss...

Weekend Wrap-Up

Happy Sunday!  We had a fun weekend and enjoyed the beautiful weather and sunshine.

Yesterday morning we woke up with four happy kids in the house!  It was a bit chaotic, but very fun.

Yesterday afternoon we got the pool out and it finally felt like it was actually summer.

It was my parents' 45th wedding anniversary yesterday, so Boom, Auntie Yoda, Lucy and Mila came over for a deck dinner.  My mom brought her wedding scrapbook and it was fun to look through it.  The kids had fun in the yard (and eating Chris' homemade guacamole!).

Maya, Luna and I went on a pre-bedtime walk and enjoyed the sunrays.

This morning I did my 4 mile virtual race and enjoyed more sunrays. The girls discovered the bag of dress-up clothes that Auntie Hanna had brought over and got all dressed up!

Later the girls had a fun adventure day with G-ma!
