Weekend Wrap-Up

Hey all!  It was truly a lovely long weekend.  We lucked out with the weather...especially today!  So here are the pics.

Saturday: Both girls slept over at Boom's on Friday night and woke up happy little campers on Saturday morning.  Then we picked up Maya and I went for a run while she was at dance.

Callie stayed at Boom's to do another night of a sleepover.  They had punch pizza, ice cream, and fun on the deck!

Maya enjoyed some solo time with us at home, as well as time at Auntie Cat's for playing and rollerblading. After bedtime, Hanna came over and we watched the "Friends Reunion Special."  She had all her Friends gear (including these awesome wine glasses) and it was so fun!



Sunday: Maya enjoyed playing on her own (and with Luna) at home, and Cal watched "Oliver" the musical and ate pea pods (very dramatically).

That afternoon we went to Boom's and Callie had created a scavenger hunt for Maya (who was in a MOOD), that culminated in a set of awesome Hamilton puppets!

And then Auntie Yoda, Uncle Craigles, Lucy and Mila came over!

Before bed we went for a family walk.  I asked for a nice family picture.  This is what I got. Ha!

Monday: G-ma, Pa, Auntie Cat, Auntie Hanna, Mitchell and Isla all came over (Uncle Dan was golfing!).  We walked up to the park and ate lunch on the deck. G-ma even made her famous rhubarb crisp.  Delicious.

Isla's little personality is starting to come out, and we are endlessly entertained by her cute little faces! 

We got the water table and sprinkler out too.

We ended the weekend with watching The Masked Singer on the porch!

A Picture Update

Hi everybody!  We finally made it to Memorial Day Weekend.  I am SO relieved to have a 3 day weekend to relax and mentally prepare for the last 7 days of school.  Lucky for the girls, they only have 3 days left of school!  We will make it!

Monday: pretty sunrise skies, more rollerblading, and a lovely flowery bush in our yard

Tuesday: we got out the pool around 2pm because we could, and I met Jenna for margaritas on the patio at our favorite place for the first time in 7 months

Wednesday: Maya had fun solo with G-ma and Pa and Cal had fun with Chris at the Twins game!

Thursday: goofy girls

Friday: fun at Boom's house!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Happy Sunday-

Yesterday afternoon we got the pool out for the first time this season! It was pretty chilly...but the girls had fun.

And then Uncle Dan, Auntie Hanna, Mitchell and Isla came over for some water and water balloons fun! 

As you can see, Mitchell was not a fan of the chilly pool!

This morning Maya decided to wear the cowgirl dance costume to play with the neighbor boys!


And then we met Uncle Dan, Auntie Hanna, Mitchell and Isla at the Scheel’s store for some shopping!

Maya used her own money to buy ROLLER BLADES! She has been asking for the for awhile, so she was SO EXCITED.

We went over to see Auntie Yoda, Uncle Craigles, Lucy and Mila for playtime and dinner. I did a bad job of taking pictures.

A Picture Update

Happy Friday! Today is Auntie Mari and Uncle Josh’s five year anniversary! Yay! It was such a fun and special wedding.

Three weeks (for me) and two weeks (for the girls) until summer. Here. We. Go!

Today I enjoyed a rainy run and walk by the river. And the girls had fun at Boom’s!

I ordered an outdoor toy camping set, figuring it would be a fun new thing for the girls to do outside. I neglected to notice when I ordered it that it was suitable for 3+. Like toddlers. 

They barely both fit but are already having a blast with all the fake camping gear...so I’ll call it a win! 

I’ll leave you with this...This week at work we were put into teams to do a scavenger hunt/complete missions game called GooseChase. Here are a few of my submissions:

Weekend Wrap-Up

It's already Sunday night.  The weekend flew by!

Saturday: a pretty morning run, more wall work with an awesome crew, and goofy times with cousins!

The wall is coming along nicely!

We met Boom for a picnic and a hike!

And then had a deck dinner to keep enjoying the lovely weather.  

Sunday: digging for worms to go FISHING!

We went to Fort Snelling State Park and the girls each caught a bunch of fish.

It was fun to get out and do something different.
