Weekend Wrap-Up

Happy Sunday!

We had a super fun weekend! First up, I had a lovely solo trip to Target early Saturday morning and I ordered cold press because I desperately long for summer and cold press tastes like summer to me.

Maya and I had lunch while Callie was at dance. She started reading all of the signs on the walls at Jimmy Johns and it was SO FUN to watch her brain work (see video later)!

Dance class was adorable as usual.

And then we headed right to the Mills’ house for Caleb’s birthday party! It was superhero themed so fun times were had.

We got a couples picture and it is hard to believe we have known the guys for nearly 20 years.

Then we stopped by G-ma and Pa’s house and Maya dresses Luna up in her superhero stuff.

Today after church we went to see Boom and Iris. The girls were creative, as usual! And musical! (See video later).

During quiet time they begged to take pictures on the iPad, so I gave them 2 minutes and this was what resulted.

They went to YET ANOTHER BIRTHDAY PARTY this afternoon. This time it was for our neighbor boy, Isaac, and it was at Chuckee Cheese. They were very excited, and I was excited to go meet up with Cat and Hanna while the girls were occupied!

A Picture Update

Happy Friday! This is the THIRD WEEK IN A ROW of bizarre winter weather shenanigans. So. Much. Snow. 

On Tuesday it was the 100th day of school, which is a super fun day in Kindergarten. They even got makeup on to look 100 years old!

That night I was eating salad for dinner and for some reason both girls were super intrigued and each ate a few bites of it.  I had to document the madness.

On Wednesday we had ANOTHER SNOW DAY. That makes 5.5 for me, and 4 for the girls. Bonkers. Since I still had to work at home, the girls went and hung out with G-ma. They had a ton of fun!

I took pictures in the morning and then again in the evening to track the snowfall.

Last night Chris and Callie went to hit golf balls and out to dinner, while Maya and I stayed home and cuddled.


Tonight we met the Helds for swimming!

Half Marathon #10

I’m making it official, guys. I have signed up for my 10th half marathon!  May 5, 2019!

I ordered myself some new gear.

And found a free 12 week training program on Audible and GOT TO WORK.

Here’s hoping the mountains of snow melt at some point so I can do at least a little training outside...

Here we go! 

February two years ago looked MUCH different than this year’s February.

And then we have cousins and toys!

Weekend Wrap- Up

Happy Monday! We had a three day weekend and had some fun.

This is what our Friday night consisted of.

On Saturday morning the girls messed around with the iPad camera and created some wacky images.

 I took Luna for a walk, and it was COLD. My hair turned white!

While Chris took the girls to dance, I met my friend Libby for a “Build and Brunch” and made a hanging initial for our house.

It was fun to get a little crafty. And use a drill!

Let’s see...we didn’t do much else. Chris took Maya to Costco while I made a yummy chicken wrap and had a fascinating conversation with a cowgirl at dinner. Ha! We also read some Dr. Seuss and dinosaurs came along too.

On Sunday morning we went to see Boom play bells at church.

And went sledding for a bit.

Then the girls went over to Uncle Dana and Auntie Hanna’s and raised Hanna’s shoe closet! And her shoes almost fit Callie!

Today we went to hang out with Boom, Lucy and Iris.

And then stopped by to see G-ma.

Happy Valentine’s Day! AND A Picture Update

Full disclosure...I had a post all set to go for yesterday and totally forgot to actually post it. Oops! So here’s that...

Happy Heart Day!

And now, a travel back through time and hearts and squishy faces!

And remember when I was a runner? And we had nothing to do but run 5Ks and hang out on Valentine’s Day?

We may have more wrinkles and gray hairs, but I like where we are at 10 years later!

Maya got an awful cold so I stayed home with her on Wednesday. We had fun anyway.

And met Boom and Lucy for lunch! Later, Callie surprised all of us by eating a few bites of my sandwich that had things like LETTUCE AND MAYO AND AVOCADO AND CHEESE on it. Maybe she won’t be so picky as she gets older? 

Then there was Valentine’s Day fun.

Happy Tuesday! Here are me, Cal, and the dogs.

Weekend Update

Happy Snowy Sunday! Maya has strong feelings about the snow this morning, but also she refused to wear her hat and gloves at this moment, so I didn’t feel too bad for her...ha.

Anyway, our big outing yesterday was to Edinborough and dinner with Boom, Auntie Yoda, Uncle Craigles, and Lucy!

Today we got a little cabin feverish, so we spent a bit of time out in the snow. As annoying as it is, it is still pretty.

Amidst all the craziness, Maya took the iPad and started taking random pictures around the house. And then random videos, which you’ll see an example of later in the weekend video compilation.

Late this afternoon we baked banana bread, Maya made a “flute”, and Uncle Dan, Auntie Hanna and Shambles stopped over.

While they were here, the girls “performed” a play. I got clips of it on video, and let’s just say it probably could stand a little more rehearsal...hahahaha.
