Ok we just finished watching the first game of the WNBA championship series. The Lynx were down by over 20 in the first quarter, down by 10 most of the rest of the game, and only lost by 1. This was my face for most of the game:
Game 2 is on Tuesday!
Anyway, the big fun weekend we had included me, Cal, and Chris in Colorado!! Maya stayed home with G-ma and Pa.
Chris and Cal flew out on Wednesday afternoon. Callie was soooooooooooooooooooooooo excited to go on vacation.
We stayed in Denver with my uncle John and aunt Jen. On Thursday Chris and Cal spent the day at the Denver Zoo.
Then I flew out on Thursday evening. On Friday morning we headed up to Loveland to see Grammy and Margie. We met Margie for breakfast.
Then we went to Boom's favorite Loveland Museum and the sculpture garden.
Then we got to visit Grammy. It had been over two years since I had seen her, and probably 4 or 5 years since Chris and Cal had. It was a pretty special visit.
We then left Loveland and headed to Estes and up to Rocky Mountain National Park.
Besides seeing the mountains, the other highlights we're seeing LOTS of elk near the road while driving and a double rainbow welcoming us back to Denver (along with lots of traffic).
On Saturday morning, John and Chris went golfing while us girls stayed back and worked on a sewing project! Meet Juliea, Callie's new doll.
Callie loved hanging out at John and Jenny's house throughout the weekend. Their animals were a source of entertainment, and Callie liked to be goofy with John.
Meanwhile, while we were having fun in Colorado, Maya was enjoying being the only child for G-ma and Pa. She also got to hang out with Hanna and Auntie Cat- lucky girl!
Back to Colorado. Saturday afternoon was a big event- one of the reasons why we went out there when we did. John helped to develop the "Frozen" Broadway show in Denver, so we got to go see it! We kicked off the festivities with a "Frozen" piƱata.
And of course, there is some video.
Margie and her friend Taryn came to Denver for the show as well.
It. Was. Magical. I cried at least 5 times and thoroughly enjoyed the whole production. Callie loved it too. It heads to Broadway in February/March-ish of next year, so if you are in NYC when it is running, I highly recommend it! After the show we went out for pizza and enjoyed our last night together.
We headed home this morning and Cal loved being above the clouds on the plane ride.
I was super excited to get back to this little nugget.
She seemed happy to see us too. And I realized just a bit ago that I missed posting yesterday for her 50-months-old day!!
After watching the Lynx game at home, we had dinner and a quick Snapchat session before bed.
Whew! I think that covers it. Thanks to John, Jenny, Margie, and Grammy for making our trip to special. And thanks to G-ma, Pa, Hanna, and Auntie Cat for spoiling Maya so I didn't feel too bad about leaving her at home this time.
Now...back to reality. Have a great week.
